Does anyone have a gif of Messi's nutmeg on Silva?
Oh and btw I see he's getting no recognition for his classy assist today.

It was sarcasm because of his play today that brought City back into it. I'm a very well noted Silva admirer and I would take him on Liverpool in a heartbeat. He would look so fantastic in our system.

I don't see him and De Bruyne coexisting. De Bruyne kind of took over when he went off.

Don't worry, Silva will be Guardiola's tiki-taka CM when he takes over replacing that lazy pos Yaya.

I don't see how that works. Yaya is super lazy, but a big part of how he does his job is the physical aspect of his game. The 5 or so minutes he cares per match is probably the best performance you will see out of any player in world football bar Messi/2015 Aubamayang. He is pretty much unplayable.

When Pep takes over city Yaya will be lucky to train in same training ground with team players let alone play in match imo

I reckon this will be Pep's City XI:
Hart
Navas - Kompany - Fernandinho - Sterling
Toure
Silva - Thiago
De Bruyne - Aguero - Griezmann

And also said selling Yaya was a mistake he regrets.
Pep got maximum effort out of Yaya when he played for Barcelona and there really is no reason to believe they couldn't work together again.
I find it funny that games like Arsenal vs City everyone expects Yaya to be all conquering for 90 minutes and the 15 minutes he is he gets shit for it when the rest of the team did nothing for the entire game.
It's hilarious, especially the English press. They are so used to seeing players run around like a chicken with there head cut off that since Yaya doesn't do it he's lazy and takes full blame for every loss.

Tbh Yaya has been showing signs of slowing down all season. He is going to be 33 in May afterall.
I reckon he will leave in the summer anyways. Regardless of Pep coming in or not.

I haven't seen any reaction blaming Yaya for the loss to Arsenal?
But it's clearly either a stamina or motivation issue for Yaya that he uses his top gear only for 15 minutes in a match. The difference in his performance when the game is 0-0 in the first-half and when City need a goal in the last 15 minutes of the second-half is just huge. That's not Yaya being smarter than "the headless chickens of the Premier League", it's either a stamina or motivation issue that should be improved on.

You kidding I saw 3 English pundits on TV on multiple channels basically all agreeing Yaya is lazy and did not single any other player out for there horrible performances.
Yaya is older now, he can't do it for all 90 minutes and it's been that way for a while now. Hell he's 3 years older than Rooney, how's Rooney looking of late? Do you even get 15 minutes of world class play out of him ever anymore?
People seem to forget that City has basically gone as far as Yaya takes them. Yes they have an expensive squad but even in the Mancini days he was asked to be a DM all game and conquer midfield and then at the end of the game under Mancini's shit tactics to go save the game and score or make a world class run to save the points for City.
He has been doing everything for them for a while now. I think we all know had that been Frank Lampard at 33 we would all just hear about his fantastic goal and how Chelsea let him down in the loss, not everyone rushing on here and on tv to call him Lazy.

Why would Yaya be incapable of doing what Xabi is doing at bayern right now?

And BTW, here you go. A whole article written just to decide if all the blame pointed at Yaya was fair or not. I honestly don't know how you missed or didn't know he was to blame for the loss?

Yup, it's just a lazy connect the dots exercise.
Pep sold Yaya, Pep goes to City, Pep will want nothing to do with Yaya.
Not Pep and Yaya actually have a good relationship, Pep has a good track record with older players and man management. Pep got the best out of him before so there is no reason to believe if they wanted it to work it couldn't

That being said, imo Yaya would rather go play elsewhere ( MLS or Asia ) than having such a role.

You have to put in effort to do well in MLS. Too many big lazy flops come over and make football look bad here(Beckham,Lampard)
He should go to China. Best league in Asia, where he would still be able to pay in packed arenas with plenty of other foreign stars.

He'll be 33 and he's a big lad. Can't expect him to run everywhere but I'm pretty sure he can do well in MLS if he's in a team whose main strenght is midfield.
