No it's just stupid and you bring up something that's not measurable because you know Messi would house Bergkamp in pretty much any offensive category.

Putting them in the same sentence is just dumb. If this was a Messi dribbling thread or who is the most graceful player like were gay or judging a f'ing figure skating contest then I would understand.

Of course taller people look more graceful when they run, it's less choppy and frankly harder to weave in and out of people the taller you are so it looks more impressive. Any person with a brain knows that. It doesn't mean anything nor is it measurable so it has no outcome in a game so who really cares.

And it really has nothing to do with Messi's form. You can run around being as graceful as you want it doesn't mean you're more of a technical genius which you are implying. BTW these are the lengths you are going to not to troll on a MEssi thread. Pretty pathetic.

I am not getting in the other debate about elegance, taking your breathe etc etc. As these are matter of opinion. Some may find Bergkamp's goal vs Newcastle better, while some may find Di Canio's volley better or some may find Messi's inch perfect lob vs Santos better or his run against Getafe. It depends on what kind of plays please you.

sometimes i just have the feeling that people just write words but forget how powerful they are . if Maradonna is a level above messi , then he must have been some kind of Alien or football's god : and this is NOT an euphemism..

I also agree that many Arsenals fans here kind of dislike Messi. I don't know why but it's a shame. I don't expect everyone to like him or see how great he is but why systematically bring him down as soon as someone else praise him. if i say :

I don't hate messi, I think maradona was more skilful. I think that because I have seen countless matches of maradona. I think a lot of people don't realize how good he was. A person really must see him play to understand

Ben arfa is more skilfull than Giggs . What does that means ? Nothing about who's is better overall. The way you are talking is like Diego more skillfull = diego much more better hence your '' diego was a level above Messi '' i guess

its a shame this thread turned out the way it did, Messi's season really deserves some appreciation on here. he's just been beyond superlatives really. his performances in the league have been unmatched, just been on a ridiculous level. somehow he's topping his last season in the league, and we'll see how his champions league campaign turns out, if he wins it, it would definitely be the best season any player has had.
