Just pissed off at Walcott now, really frustrated with him, if it comes down trading them I would not go through with it.

But really, Bale is awesome.

I prefer Walcott. He has more to his game than Bale, IMO. Bale is a one-trick pony, but as has been mentioned other times, his one trick is so good and when he has space he's extemely difficult to handle. Walcott can still pull off more things than Bale, making him less predictable.

I also don't get how people can say Walcott only has pace and no brain. You could have said that about 3 years ago, and I would actually agree, but he has greatly improved since then and isn't a kick-and-run player anymore.

Last year, I think a lot of people were blinded by media nuthugging in favour of Bale. For the 2010/2011 season, Walcott was far superior IMO, both statistically and in every other way as well bar defending (which Bale isn't that good at either, despite being a former LB). That being said, this season, Bale has finally started to be consistent enough to merit the praise he gets. Walcott started the season well, but has recently dropped his performance level greatly. So, right now, Bale is better. Walcott will come back to form though, at which time things should get interesting.

It's actually kind of funny that such a rivalry has been built up between these two considering off the pitch they are pretty good mates. In fact, Bale is a childhood Arsenal fan, unlike Walcott!

If not for Walcott, RVP wouldn't have a good few of his goals this season. Like Eman said, too many media bumhuggers believed the Bale hype after that Inter game. Where was the hype for Walcott when he walked past the Barcelona defence and scored?

Why doesn't Walcott play on the left as an inside forward? His job would be to use his speed to make runs and finish 1v1s.

He did say he preferred to play as a striker and this role is close to one.
