Everton have agreed to sign 15-year-old Bradford City midfielder George Green in a deal that could eventually rise to £2 million.

David Moyes looks to have won the race to sign George Green

Talks took place on Saturday, according to the Telegraph and Argus newspaper in Bradford, and a deal has been agreed that will see Everton pay almost £300,000 upfront plus bonuses based on appearances, new contracts and international appearances. A sell-on clause will also be included.

Bradford head of football development Archie Christie said Green, who has also attracted interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Rangers, has the potential to be a leading star.

"This is one of the highest deals ever for a 15-year-old from a League Two club, but George is the best I've seen in his position at his age," he said. "He could become another Wayne Rooney or Paul Gascoigne."

I find "colour surnames" a little fascinating in English language (there are none in Finnish).

Black, Brown, Green, White, Grey are all common.

But why there seems not to be such as Blue, Orange, Yellow, Red, Pink...?

Such a clear division. All colours, some of them are plentiful, some aren't used at all as surnames. Funny, that.

Aaaaanyway, I thought it was a bit odd that signing a 15-year-old is actually news worth reporting nowadays, but then I realized it's Everton who signed him and the player's age is irrelevant here; It's news worth reporting that Everton actually signed a player.
