Milan given green light over Tevez
AC Milan have been given permission by Manchester City to open talks with striker Carlos Tevez, according to the Italian club's vice-president Adriano Galliani.
Tevez, 27, is expected to seal a move away from City when the transfer window reopens on January 1 after falling out with manager Roberto Mancini following a disagreement at the Allianz Arena in September.
The Argentina international has not featured for the club since allegedly refusing to warm up ahead of an introduction to the field of play, as City trailed Bayern Munich 2-0 in Champions League Group A.
It has subsequently been suggested Milan could target Tevez on a loan deal in January, after Antonio Cassano was sidelined for around six months following heart surgery, and Galliani has fuelled those rumours.
"Tevez is a City player," Galliani said to Gazzetta dello Sport. "The English club has authorised us to speak to his agent but we haven't spoken directly to City yet.
"We don't know what City want. I prefer not to speak too much about Tevez, otherwise his price will go up and this is not good."
When asked about Milan's winter transfer window activity, Galliani said: "If anyone arrives, it will be a striker as our aim is to cover the place of the injured Cassano."
Tevez returned to his homeland last month without City's permission and is yet to report back to training

Do Milan even need him? Tevez is a sick man.

when in form tevez is one of the best strikers in the world and any team would want him. the fact that he's not a proffesional off the field does not take away from his undeniable talent

Re: Milan given green light over Tevez
Its worth the risk. Pato may be injured again. Robinho is Robinho. Allegri doubts that Cassano will be fit in time for the EURO so that would basically mean the season is over for him ( ). Which basically means Ibra will play in every game for us if we don't get some sort of striker who would help rest him as he is still our best striker. And there is no denying his talent and how much he could help us. Cassano was in the same boat for us last season and look how that turned out.

Re: Milan given green light over Tevez
as i understand its a free loan with the option to buy so milan will have 5-6 month to evaluate the deal before making an investment. as for his wages untill june, well, thats the gamble part

Purchase at a reduced price. They bought Robinho for like 40 million Euros and sold him for less than half that. From what I have read also he has agreed to lower his wages as well.

What would be his wage (for the loan period) like! £3 million! That's for some one who hasn't played for 3-4 months and has developed a habbit for trouble-making! Wow, things must be desperate.

I think Milan might send Robinho back to Santos and use him to lure Ganso, then bring in Tevez.

Milan is an intrinsically calm place. I never see any OTT behaviour over there from any player. Is it because of all the experienced guys playing there?
