Re: Rival Watch
FT: Swansea 1-1 Chelsea. If Arsenal beat Bolton, then Blackburn we will be level with Chelsea before they entertain Man United on Sunday.

Re: Rival Watch
Blackburn Rovers' Christopher Samba will not face Arsenal in row over not selling him
Blackburn manager Steve Kean managed to hold on to his captain Christopher Samba during the January transfer window, but the centre-back will not play against Arsenal as he is still sulking about the refusal to sell him.
Samba asked for a transfer last month with interest from both Tottenham Hotspur and Queens Park Rangers and admitted he did not know whether he would ever be able to give his full commitment to the team again if it was turned down.
Despite the threat, Blackburn Rovers decided to cling on to him against his will, although Kean does not know when he will be able to select him again as the bad feeling caused by the deadlock rumbles on.
Kean had told reporters after his side’s 2-0 home defeat by Newcastle that he intended to smooth things over with Samba on Thursday, but those peace talks have not gone as the Scot intended.
"I’m prepared to say he’s fit and he’s available but he’s not in the squad for the Arsenal game,” said Kean.
"I’d rather speak about people who are available to play against Arsenal.
Chris has trained well today but he’s not going to be in this squad.”
Samba’s long-time defensive partner Ryan Nelsen joined Tottenham Hotspur as a free agent yesterday (THURS) after his contract was cancelled by Kean, who claimed the New Zealand international was in no shape to play first team football.
That was immediately undermined by Tottenham’s assistant manager, Kevin Bond, who said the defender would go straight into the squad for Monday’s meeting with Liverpool despite playing just one league game this season.
Rovers had expected Nelsen to go to Major League Soccer in the US before Tottenham’s last-minute interest changed his mind, and Blackburn fans are sure to question his release if he does go on to play a part for Spurs this season.
Kean said: “He was having a lot of problems with his knee. Right at the last minute he got the call (from Tottenham) and he’s decided to go with it.
"We understand the pain he was in and I hope their medics can look at it and get him back on the pitch because he’s found it difficult. He’s only played one game in eight months.”

Re: Rival Watch
Chelsea 3 - 3 Manchester United. Chelsea were 3-0 up.
Fun fact: on this day last season, Arsenal drew 4-4 with Newcastle after being 4-0 up.
So now we're 6th, 3 points behind Chelsea and 2 behind Newcastle. Liverpool can go above us if they beat Spurs tomorrow. Hoping for a draw in that game.
