Romario's Brazil generation was stacked beyond belief

well i once read an interview where he said he's better than both of them in the penalty box, which could make sense for some people, but this is taking it too far

but Romario is indeed a legend, he might not have the fame other brazilians like Ronaldo and Ronaldinho has achieved, but in terms of ability he's up there with those guys

I think Maradona is vastly overrated. He had a few great season, and people talk about him being the greatest as he was performing on a constant level during his whole career. No one mentions how big flop he was at barcelona. He had one good world cup, and 2-3 good seasons with Napoli...imo Ronaldo, and Garrincha was better. Maradona vs Pele i think Maradona only edges him. BUt yeah R9 and Garrincha was greater than Maradona etc.

Romario has scored 1000+ goals during his career. only Pele can match that. so not that silly claim after all, but he could of course just be joking

I dont blame most of Barca fans because they didnt see Romario in action (in Barcelona shirt).

Romario was a legend in his own right. Incredible player. Maradonna and Romario played completely different positions. Comparing the two is a bit ridiculous.

Anyone who saw Romario playing will always remember how good he finished . Around 20 years I've been watching this game , I havent yet someone score goals as easily as he did .

Exactly. Romario had really bad luck in an age were Ronaldo existed. If we're remembering iconic Brazilians there are just too many to name in that era. Apart from Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos, Rivaldo, Ronaldihno who came later...

I'm not saying he was a bad player, he's a great player. Just not one to be remembered in the same breath as the GOATs.
