Everyone told me he's coming for depth.

Seems more like depth with the possibility to start, if he comes in January he might be able to take the rest of the season to just sit back in gel with the team, maybe making an appearance here and there.

At 8.5M this is a future investment

You can't really say that with any level of confidence.
Lets work on him staying healthy before we say he'll be a top LB.
If he plays a full season he is already 5 times the player he ever was.
And still miles away from CRISCITO

I would have been more exciting about this transfer if it had went through during the summer...
Barzagli is on stunning form & I really don't see how Rhodolfo is gonna start although there is always a chance of injury & fatigue..

We were better off keeping Balzaretti who is regarded the best LB in Italy, or could of gone after Santon when we had the chance.

Better off keeping Criscito.
