Matri,Vucinic and Quags are pretty good imo..And with them not playing in Europe, they have a real chance.

sure they can win it...but so can 3 or 4 other teams, it's a marathon not a sprint

pretty good...true
but not good enough IMO, especially if you look at the Scudetto winning teams and the forwards they have

I would say make top 3 but not win, like above not enough talent upfront unless they prove us wrong. I would love to see Juventus return to the glory days!!!

I see Juventus is very underrated on these forums.
Well, I believe they do have a chance, but at the end it will be Milan imo.

Juventus had the best attack last season up until January with less.
With Conte's style goals will come.
The defense is more worrying for me.
Can Juventus win the league, based on the reasons you gave (Inter, AC Milan and Roma falling early)? Yes but it is still too early.
Pirlo must stay fit. Elia and Krasic must be integrated into the starting 11 and Quagliarella should be used more.
The sky is the limit.

Re: Can Juve win Serie A ?
You have 6 teams capable of winning the scudetto.
I made a thread about this before, and my main points is that if either Juve or Roma finishes in first place at the winter break, both have a realistic chance of winning the league.
They need to take advantage of the European responsibilities of the main contenders. Lazio is the least likely, and Milan are the most likely. However, the difference between Milan, Inter, Juve, Roma, Napoli is entirely dependent on injuries and form.

Good point about Napoli.
Juventus is looking very dependent on Pirlo's brilliance but I believe once Krasic is fully fit and Elia is in the starting 11 that will change, by the nature of Conte's system alone.

Re: Can Juve win Serie A ?
Luca makes some very good points, I guess the logical answer is, anyone can win it. Serie A is a very competitive league, at one point we saw Sampdoria last season go from First, to relegation. We saw Udinese fly off the roof and Napoli showing why Cavani is best in the league. Juventus are now once again competitive, including Roma who I believe soon will be right up there with the others. For now Milan still for me, even with the arrival of Ranieri, I don't see Inter winning it sadly. If I would have to choose, either Juventus or Milan.

Re: Can Juve win Serie A ?
for me Juve and Milan are the favorites for the Scudetto, with maybe Milan slightly more so if Zlatan can stay healthy
Napoli don't have the depth to succeed in the Spring, and Inter... we'll see how much €€€ Moratti spends during the winter transfers
Roma... well

Re: Can Juve win Serie A ?
hmmm well we def have a chance but i think it will end up being to much of a stretch for us in the end.
defence and midfield wise were up there with any team in serie a but our strikers despite having 4 decent strikers to count on, none of them can pull a hat out of a bag and bail us out by themselves which is what i think were reallyyy missing.
a match winning striker, the only striker we have who can make something out of nothing is del piero and his time will be limited this season due to his age.
but we def have a good chance of winning i just think it might be a bit to much to soon.
for us juve fans we should just be aiming for a champs league spot and then next year expect to be challenging on all fronts

The Milan teams are stronger, but if they keep on underperforming, then yes.
Question: Where do you estimate the current Juventus team to be in comparison to other top teams in Europe?

ask us in mid season right now its hard to gauge where we really are, still havent seen how elia will do in the team, have to see whether krasic will hit top form and be a regular starter, who our preffered centre midflielders wil be marchisio or vidal with pirlo.
so yea i could make a guees now but wouldnt be very good one.

yea sorry i couldnt make this thread just that bit more intresting but would be foolish of me or anyone else to say were better than this team or that team considering were still imo an unknown quality.Art Morte wrote:Fair enough.
considering the new coach, abundance of new players, new tactics. will take a while before us juve fans will really know how good or bad we are.
but so far signs are promising.

No.
They had by far the easiest games this far, thats why now it looks like they can, one cant simply go from 7th to Seria A winner.

I agree, Parma, Bologna, Seiena with full squad, compared to Lazio, Barca, Napoli, Udinese, with less than half full squad, I have seen better starts for Juve in the last 2 seasons, and we know how that ended.CroInter wrote:No.

Re: Can Juve win Serie A ?
LOL to those saying we dont have ebough quality upfront.
Matri, Qaugs, Del Piero and Vucinic.
Plus 2 wingers like Elia and Krasic is MORE than enough attacking talent.
Its the defence that is going to let us down this season, like always.
Btw since when has Parma been an easier fixture than Novara and Chievo?
Granted we've had 3 easyish matches but from anyone who knows anything about the recent juve you'll see that for the past few years its the parma's bologna's and siena's of serie A that we've struggled with.. not the big teams.
So i for one am happy we've got 7 points out of 9 from those 3 teams considering we were down to 10men for half a match vs Bologna.
And for me, i dont know if conte is good enough.
Theres a huge difference between being a good player and a good manager.
As there is with promoting teams than winning championships and cups.
Anyway, i hope for a good season and a few more suprise players in january. Hopefully some more defenders! ESPECIALLY a Left Back!
Most importantly we need to try to avoid as many injuries as possible this season. Its been ridiculous having up tp 15 players out at a time!

Re: Can Juve win Serie A ?
Sure they can. They have a extremely large squad completely dedicated to the league, without any sort of European distractions. Apart from the pressure of recent bad seasons and the high of new coach/new signings, they have a great chance and are in a good position. Gotta see how they perform against the big boys, though.
As long as l'architetto ain't injured. Although Vidal can play there

Re: Can Juve win Serie A ?
Far too early to be asking questions of this nature.
Juventus still have yet to be tested by truly great opposition. I agree with Crointer on that point.
Let's see how they do taking points off the other 5 contenders. That's a much better indicator.
