Banega can control the tempo from deep, but he cant change the pace, he only maintains it. he still needs to get better.

Tbh, he didn't play bad IMO. First leg he was invisible, though.

If anyone remember me saying few years ago in the old goal forum that he is the True Xavi Heir, I always knew what kind of player he is.

The thing is neither Mou nor Pep are good in judging player potential and ability, they usually buy the wrong players.

Banega would have been better in Barca then Fabrigas.

I agree and disagree supermag.

I agree he might of fit in better as in style, but his inconsistency plus he plays the exact same role of Xavi and Thiago means we need him even less than we needed Cesc.

thats not an excuse, in fact it makes it worse that they couldnt take advantage of everyone else being rubbish. Tbh i expected brazil and argentina to flop, with neymar and ganso going missing, but i expected more from banega individually. At least messi played quite well in some games
