Re: Guidolin is a Wizard
People saying Udinese are a relegation team are not wrong
Their traditional goal every year (historically) is to survive relegation - it is only since Guidolin came around that they have begun far exceeding that modest goal
Udinese have been in Serie A for 39/80 seasons of the league...so less than 1/2

i get all that but that doesnt make them a relegation team, look at stoke, would you call them a relegation team? no...they have become a top half epl team just through hard work and a good manager. same as udi. fact is undinese finish 4TH last year!, so they are not a relegation team. simpauls

Re: Guidolin is a Wizard
Guidolin is a top manager I can see him at a different club next season.
All the best managers are at the smaller clubs.
Just look at Italys top clubs
Milan - Allegri
Inter - Ranieri
Juve - Conte
Roma - Enrique

So you expect old and experienced managers to return?
Don't you appreciate the fresh and young talent of managers?
Conte has shown his ability already while Enrique is full of modern and ambitious ideas. Allegri? He has spoken with a Serie A title at the age of 43.
Ranieri is facepalm worthy though.
But the point is, this is a new generation.

Mazzari will be great too. Italy has a lot of coaches with potential, while England for example has none

My point is that all the best managers are at the smaller clubs.Guidolin,Reja and Mazzari for example.
It will be a long time again before an Italian club wins the Champions League.

Milan last season knocked out by Spurs.
Inter hammered by Schalke.
We got battered by Shakhtar.
3 Champions league spots for next seasons Champs league and with the current managers in charge of these clubs it doesn't look to good.Just my honest opinion.Sure we even got knocked by Slovan in the Europa league and Palermo by Thun...

Re: Guidolin is a Wizard
Udinese has a core of really hard-working players on mid and at the back. The coach is obviously an inspiring figure for them. I wish Milan had a player like Asamoah for instance, speedy bulldog in the middle.

I agree with The Fonz...I'm biased obviously but I don't rate Allegri as a WC coach by any means

Re: Guidolin is a Wizard
Why so pessimistic, Fonz?
Nothing last forever. That means the current EPL/La Liga dominance as well as Serie A decline/transition.
Things like this take time.
Just enjoy the football, man.

Re: Guidolin is a Wizard
Guidolin is a very good coach but someone has to give credit to the people who find all these great players(armero,Badu,Isla,Asamoah) they seriously should win a Noble prize!

Reja is a good coach for a mid-table team..He is not a top level coach..
Someone like Guidolin would have been perfect for Roma as he likes to work with young players and groom them into future stars..
