Superb performance from the little magician. Abidal seemed to not be able to handle him! And his through ball for Ronaldo was really nice. He probably took in a huge amount of confidence from that game and will be more consistent, especially against Barca.

I must admit, as a fan of Ozil since seeing him at the World Cup, even I didn't think he was capable of outshining the likes of Messi and Xavi. I thought he was quite comfortably the best player on the pitch tonight. Incredibly unlucky to see his outrageous 20-25 yard strike hit the bar instead of the net, and everything that followed was sublime. Wonderful touches, wonderful passes, and the same excellent movement that he's demonstrated week in, week out since moving to Madrid. He seemed to dribble a lot more than we're accustomed to tonight. Abidal didn't have a clue.

Wonderful performance from the whole team, but Benzema should be starting. That much is obvious.
