Surprise ? I think not

We all witnessed barza put in a great performance last night . Made several key tackles and while some may be surprised about his BOG performance we must understand this game was coming. He's been very good since he came to us and it's a testament to him. Conte has alot of faith starting him ahead of an investment like Bon bon. Any of you guys think he can maintain his spot or even force us not to buy rhodolfo

though he's been fantastic so far, let's wait and judge his performance against better sides...

Rhodolfo or another option will be needed for depth in January, regardless of Barzagli's performances.

Yeah Rhodolfo would still be a good buy so that Sorensen could leave on loan and get playing time.

if Conte has no plans for Rhodolfo, I'd say we let him stay where he is or go to a team where he would get playing time, it would hurt to see another join the new list of benched foreigners...

Good call. I completely forgot that Sorensen didn't leave on a loan move at the close of the window. We definitely have to make a signing in January and let Sorensen get a loan deal. If Barzagli can hold his form, which is still questionable because we're judging him on performances against Parma and newly promoted Siena, then I'd prefer that we sign more of a cheap veteran alternative like a Capedevila. I think we would waste money on a player like Rhodolfo because he wouldn't get enough playing time to grow and I think Conte would put him below Bonucci on the depth chart. (If Conte is having language and tactical issues with European experienced players Krasic, Esti, and Elia, then Rhodolfo will not jump Bonucci for playing time very quickly.)

barzagli is great Rodholpho can play RB and LB as I read from fans

Let's not hype up Barzagli too much. I hope he continues to do well, but we're talking about games against Parma and Siena.

I wish i could bring back old goal.com posts people made about Motta after the first couple of games and we all know how that ended.

For the guys saying let's not judge him so quickly. I specifically say 'since he's been at Juve which is 10 months. I'm not judging him based on thee 2 games , however he has been great so far this season

Barzagli is getting old... sure he's a solid choice... but then again we got Bonucci... so, what's the need in bringing Rodolfo?

For depth so that Sorensen can be moved, Rhodolfo can also play as a RB, eliminating the need for Motta.

I'd get someone who can play LB

Caceres can play everywhere, he would be my top choice to be honest

If it's purely for depth, I say bring in a cheaper experienced player. If there is an expectation that a player like Rhodolfo or someone else will one day take over the role of CB or LB, then I'm fine with spending a little more on a player like Rhodolfo.

If it's for depth... might as well keep Sorenson then...

Nah. He needs to develop. His growth shouldn't be stunted just so Juve can have a fourth CB. It's to Juve's benefit to send him out on loan.

Sorensen needs to play somewhere, earn experience and first team football like Pasquato, Giandonato and Giovinco are doing.

Pasquato has had enough experience, Giovinco as well and from what I see from Conte he would be an ideal starter, Giandonato agreed.

And if he needs to develop so be it... isn't he already loaned?

sadly, no. that's the problem.

No, Sorensen remains with Juventus unless I am wrong.
He should have been loaned.

And then a cheap or versatile defender should have came, Rhodolfo/Caceres ideally.
