Marcelo Bielsa is in talks with Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti.
Gazzetta dello Sport says Moratti spoke with Bielsa about moving to Inter - though whether it was for this season or next is yet to be revealed.
Moratti is understood to see coach Leonardo's long-term position at Inter as a sports director.
Former Argentina and Chile coach Bielsa is a free agent and eager to return to Europe.

LOL ok can someone please explain what the fu** is going on?
Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti has vehemently denied reports he is in talks with veteran coach Marcelo Bielsa.
Gazzetta dello Sport claimed on Tuesday that Moratti is looking for a coaching change with current manager Leonardo considered as a better sporting director in the long run.
Bielsa, the former Argentina boss and outgoing Chile coach, is a free agent.
"Let me clarify this, there has never been a telephone conversation," Moratti said on the club's official website. "We have a coach and he is good."
Leonardo, who replaced sacked Rafael Benitez at the helm in December, led Inter to a runners-up finish in Serie A and the Coppa Italia title.
Moratti also spoke about his surprise at the recent remarks made by his Dutch winger Wesley Sneijder.
Sneijder, who has been a reported target of Chelsea this summer, was quoted as saying: "Only God knows if I will remain at Inter."
Moratti said: "He said the previous day that he was more than happy to remain in the Inter family."

Good move for Leo. He fails as a coach as he can't organize a defence to save his life but he excelled as a director/scout in Milan. He can get young talented players from Brazil to PSG who can later turn into superstars.

take it from me, changing coaches like this will only exacerbate any problems you guys are going through. However, you guys do have a stronger core than juve and you have been winning recently, so...

Italian journalists are the pits... absolutely the worst. Sometimes the dont even bother to change the stories they re-release... expect to see his one again somewhere down the road with no words or photos in the articles changed
