Horrible in midfield, mediocre on the wings, decent at left back, is going to get a lot of undeserved playing time.

LB keep playing CM when we are down and we needed the creativity and Lass was in the bench but Mous lucophilia is a cockblock in football

I don't see why you would spend €30m on someone just to play them out of position.

He's a LB, of course he sucks at CM. HE'S A LB.

Keita is a CM, he naturally sucks there but Coentrao is playing out of position.

He would be putting in better performances if he was just playing LB.

Coentraos first touch is laughable, meh in lb and cm, constantly plays out of position, misses sitters, not to mention he lacks any sort of creativity and lack of quality passing.

At least Eto'o was still playing in an attacking position in the final third. Coentrao has been moved from defence to midfield.

Can't even recall a game where he has started and finished LB.

I agree that corentrao at LW is a tactical fail , but trust me that is definitely not where he is gonna be playing his games at RM.

The furthest he's gonna be moved on a consistent basis, is to DM and RB , and honestly I see no problems there.

so glad someone else started this thread... unbelievably useless player... can't pass, can't finish, can't tackle... 30 mil + garay well spent :facepalm:

this is why the tv rights bullshit needs to stop, that money could feed the bottom half of the table for two years...

I said it once and will say it again he is the most over rated player EVER, he is just useless at LB as he is in any other position. Its good to see RM fans realizing that by now, who ever watched hin during Benfica days as a LB would know what I am talking about.

Just go to youtube and look at most of the golas Benfica conceded in Europe or in the league and you'll see one thing in common.

Marcello is 1000X the player he is.
