Buffon at Juve for life
The chances of seeing Gigi Buffon leave Juventus are now over. “He’ll hang up his gloves in Turin.”
The goalkeeper has been linked with an exit at various times during his 10-year career with the Old Lady, but no move has ever materialised – not even after 2006 demotion.
“Buffon will end his career at Juventus,” his agent Silvano Martina told Radio Mana Mana Sport on Friday.
“If he then goes on to win the Scudetto, who’ll be able to move him from Turin?
“Buffon is a great player and an extraordinary person. Just think back to when he decided to stay with the club in Serie B.
“Not everyone would have done that and not everybody would have accepted a cut in their wages either.”
Buffon, now 33, is widely regarded as Italy’s best ‘keeper and one of the greatest they have ever had.
“There are few goalkeepers of his level and it’s hard to find a world class one like him,” Martina continued.
“There are some good ‘keepers around, but don’t forget that Buffon will soon beat Dino Zoff’s appearance record for Italy.”
Zoff was handed 112 caps by his country, while the former Parma man is currently on 108.

Forza Gigi Buffon. Selling him would send the wrong message. He's so loyal to the club and I hope he regains his past form. Even in his current form he's better than many.
