Yeah i'm absolutely loving it so far. Best FIFA in a while. It took me some time to get used to the new tackling system but now I have it's really good.

Don't tell me you were one of those players that would average at least 10 L1+Triangles/LB+Y in one half.

Chipped through balls were the worst in fifa 11. AI couldn't do anything for it. Hence cheap tactics and goals off of kick offs

Oh and nearly every forward/am can do the chop move now.

you can revert back to the old defending if you want as well. You cant use it online though.

New skills in the game. That Bergkamp flick is extreme, also Eriksen scoop turn from like a month ago has been added to the arsenal of moves in the game.

Fifa is for Kiddies and PES is for the Pros

You don't have to use tactical defending, theres a setting you can change to make it like the Fifa 11 defending

They aint changed sh*t its the same as its always been.

Also i see that you still have to be 6 ft 4 and 190 pounds to dribble past a defender and people with not much pace but excellent agility cant get past players for sh*t.....

And dont tell me to use tricks or skill because i hate doing that BS, PES definitely has issues aswell but atleast you dribble past people with players like Muller without using skill or tricks....

Not buying any of these after all, PES because online will be complete and utter garbage and Fifa because its Fifa 11.21.

Sounds like you're playing a different demo... Dribbling and tackling have altered big time, I now think a skillful dribbler will have a much harder time being tackled than before, assuming you arn't playing against AI(I personally hate AI and only really play it to learn the game). You cannot hold one button which will run directly at the player and tackle them, you have to time it or try get along side them to push off the ball.

sorry i just had to

i question peoples sanity when i read comments like "fifa is more arcadey than pes". like wtf... pes feeling like an arcade game is exactly the reason i moved over to playing fifa, fifa is more realistic and less arcade style than pes by a mile

how do you guys get used to the new defending system on fifa then? i couldn't get the hang of it. is it all about good positioning and stuff and pressing tackle at the right moment? seems kinda hard. but should be fun online

Fifa always copies pes's idea for example a button for takling rather than auto tackle.
This is a good step towards fifa becoming less arcade but If the frequent lob pass or unrealistic headers which are to common you cannot even fight for them alot of times in fifa.... I will still be play Pes with the occasional fifa game.

And also if career mode is broken like it was last year I will be playing master league which was much better than fifa 11 career mode. Players actually grew!

I Like the fifa 12 demo alot but that's what I said last year before the problems under the surface began to arise especially after the game was actually released. But we will see I have high hopes for fifa 12 this year after this demo...

defending is a mess, it's too easy to get in the opposition box, line of defense breaks too easily.

I was playing against Milan and it was impossible to close down Van Bommel? the man makes turns as if he is Messi.

Something has changed. Tactical Defending has changed the way you defend completely.

Not true at all. I've found it incredibly easy to beat players with just about anyone.

I played a few more games today. Tactical Defending is still bloody difficult and I'm only playing on professional. The opposition players just move too quickly for me to get into position and time a tackle without difficulty. I'm getting better; managed to completely shut out Marseille two or three times, but then got owned completely by Barcelona.

One thing that's really irking me is how you can never seem to win headers. I had a situation where Alexis crossed the ball to the backpost for Messi, who was being marked my Hummels and Messi won the 50-50. He just nudged him out the way as if Hummels wasn't well over 6 foot and considerably more powerful...

Incidentally, I experienced the exact same thing on PES2012.

they have to fix the defending though, defending in this one is just absurd, that jokeying thing is just crazy, you mistep and the attacker is already gone past you, also defenders speeds are sh*t as hell, so say

an attacker - speed 91

defender - speed 49

how is he gonna stop the attacker from scoring?

in the controller settings where u can change manual/assisted controls

and ive played about 15-20 games on legendary now and ive pretty much gotten the hang of it even though only managing to beat the CPU 3 times and tying once in those games. loving the tactical defending aspect as it makes defending as skillful as attacking in all the previous FIFA's.

ive been so busy that i completely forgot about it... downloading now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! can't wait!!!

i heard that its more difficult to defend!!!
