‘Amauri has Juve right’
The agent of Amauri has defended his client’s decision to reject a move away from Juventus this summer.
The Old Lady wanted to sell the striker and a deal had been reached with Marseille, only for the forward to turn down a switch.
“Let’s not exploit Amauri here,” Giampiero Pocetta told Sky Sport Italia. “That’s hardly an elegant thing to do.
“Every player has the right to accept or reject a transfer. The player assessed his offers, but opted to remain at Juve.
“The boy will look to demonstrate to Juventus and the Coach that he is up to the job. He’s proud to be at Juve and if it was a money issue then he would have gone elsewhere.
“In January he joined Parma and scored seven goals. He came back to Turin and on the first day of training he was jeered. Nobody from the club defended him.”
Juve were keen to sell the Brazilian given that he’s one of the squad’s highest earners and he has just a year left on his contract.
“The player has a contract worth €3.8m net,” Juventus director general Beppe Marotta commented.
“Marseille offered him a two-year extension to his current deal with the help of a contribution from us. Amauri rejected it.
“Clubs have to reflect on situations like this otherwise they risk being caged by players.”
It’s unclear now whether Amauri will be allowed to train with the squad or if he’ll be asked to train separately as he is not part of boss Antonio Conte’s plans.
This issue is currently under debate in the collective contract row which saw Week 1 postponed due to player strike action.

Hahahahahaha. Quality.
But realistically Amauri is an imbecile. Staying at a club where nobody likes him, where he has done nothing, and where he will be 5th string. Meh.

I was just thinking. Of course he wants to stay. He will b payed to sit on the bench and do nothing whereas at another club he would b main striker

Amauri runs around like a chicken without his head on straight and cannot head the ball on target if his life depended on it so he would fit in very well.
Marotta on the other hand has the physique of a rooster and has the brain of one as well.

I hope Amauri enjoys his last season here, helping the vendors outside the stadium gates selling tickets, he doesn't even warrant a place in the stands....

Unless of course he is scraping gum off underneath the chairs or cleaning up the trash.
