u could also agrue that Beckham wasn't there youth if you don't count Cesc.....as Beckham joined when he was 17 from Spurs.....

I second your post, it's hilarious that they spend their time talking about how they're giving youths chances and how they'll be big while clubs like Chelsea aren't blah blah and yet most of them don't even turn out to be good. Laughing

Right now, we need experienced players. A fast, short term solution. Martin would have been great, yeah, but it would have been a 2007 Arsenal type signing. Wenger might be tweaking his "youth only" policy. It's a refreshing change, IMO. Kids aren't going to get us nowhere right now. Gotze > Martin, but it didn't happen. M'Vila didn't happen, either. Maybe they simply were too expensive.

We lacked CB cover because Squillaci is shit. Also, when a player the caliber of Mertesacker is available for cheap, you definitely need to act. He's better and more experienced than all our CBs.

Which 2 AMs did we add? The only one we had was Rosicky What a Face

Arteta will be 30 once the season ends, Benayoun will return to Chelsea and he'd be 32. Rosicky hasn't been the same since his injury, is also old. Ramsey just isn't ready yet. So Martin would make sence, even if just for depth.

I agree we don't need anymore CBs. Cahill is mediocre, anyways. Getting Mertesacker pretty much killed all the Cahill rumors.

Arteta et all werent bought for their experience, they were panic buys because Arsenal couldnt get anyone else.

Rooney will be around carrying this team.

If only Rio got injured last year to see what Smallings made of.

It doesnt matter what team when hes in charge.

Players have to bleed to win games.

The reason why Chelsea is not being successful is because firing managers from left and right.

The reason why Arsenal remains in top4 and sometimes challenges for title and goes far in CL is because of Wenger.

God knows what happens to Arsenal and Man Utd when these two managers retire or god forbid something happens to them

Apparently, Chelsea told Villas Boas, he will not be fired even if they dont win a trophy. Thats a good start.
