Re: Premier League 2024/25
Well I dont think anyone forgot about Liverpool but Arsenal finished above them in the past 2 seasons
They just seem incapable of capitalising on their rivals' weakness. Mental block?

Arsenal
"Oh if only City and Guardiola weren't there we would win"
"We are the closest to giving City trouble above all teams"
"The FA is hell bent on having us lose"
Yea no Arsenal is a loser team and today was another example of it.
Slot's fresh new LFC is better.

Arsenal could use a change in managerial department perhaps. ETH has won more in 2 season than Mikel Artetas ongoing 6th.

I watched the City game. On another day they would've scored 3. You do have to capitalize on it when they slip, but it was a slip, not a marked decline.
Arsenal have their own injury crisis right now, they'll probably turn it up after the int break.

I think that was one of, if not the worst performance I've ever seen from Man City. Having a one off performance that's sub-par is one thing, but the lack of enthusiasm from multiple players should be concerning for their fans.
They did go through a patch of really poor form where most of their players looked similarly disinterested, two seasons ago, but Bernardo Silva and Haaland were both on fire during that time, and it carried them through a period where they generally struggled as a team. Both of them were off their game in this match, and the only offensive sparks were Nunes and a lively, 10 minute performance from Doku. Not a great indication of their form as a team.

Yeah that loss was coming since a few games. They've been fumbling their way lately.
Spurs loss in the cup for one, but in their last 7 PL games they've either drawn or narrowly won only by a 1 goal margin and have been wildly unconvincing
But but Rodri's absence has no effect.

I read on Reddit yesterday that they had the most injuries in the Premier League right now with 9 injuries (can't confirm if true). During the cup loss against Tottenham, Pep was complaining that they didn't have enough players to fill their bench
The Mirror (generally BS newspaper) claims that John Stones and Ruben Dias was added to their injury list after yesterday's match. I mentioned their lack of depth at the start of the season. It's not just Rodri, they're officially in a crisis now and will have to rely on academy players for bench options.

I know it's not only Rodri this season but charts comparing Man City's performance with and without him over the past few seasons are commonplace now. They were pretty much unbeatable with him

Chelsea are level on pts with Arsenal after all n 4th... cant help but feel for all the mess n oversized squad issues everyone thought, they are starting to work things out n the intense comp for places must mean some positive... if u dont perform ur down the pecking order? Top 4 finish?

Are Mazraoui and De Ligt this good usually? I think Bayern made a mistake here.

Yea. De Ligt occasionally will have some brainfarts against tricky forwards but overall he has been pretty good signing. Mazraoui has been one of the best players this season. Gives at least a solid 7 every game.

Re: Premier League 2024/25
That Garnacho performance yesterday was one of the worst I have seen from a Man Utd forward in my lifetime. Every fucking thing that overrated prick did was bad to downright abomination.
I read that he was deliberately passing the ball backwards when he was deployed on the right side until 30 mins and was constantly pointing to the coaches to change him to the left. If that is true, then this wannabe Cronaldo fanboy needs to be gotten rid of I think. Ego is of the roof for a distinctly mediocre footballer. Casemiro was everyone of us fans when he absolutely ripped through him for not tracking back in the 2nd half.
And by the way yea Chelsea are shite. Cant believe they are in top 4 and we are languishing at 13th when we are in fact very very close to them in actual quality.

Re: Premier League 2024/25
Really though? The pundits seem to be saying Chelsea are the ones that underperformed yesterday considering their recent performances are on the up
Dont expect much with RVN, prolly wait for the new manager n some time to assess... this season is prolly just transition, unless the new guy can do a Flick like transformation >

Re: Premier League 2024/25
Yea I have seen people saying had Chelsea turned up they could have beaten us easily. Lol at that. Chelsea and Arsenal online fans are the worst imho. The hype they put on their teams despite being shit and underwhelming for so long is just plain funny. Liverpool fans are cringe and weird. And City have no fans lol. United fans by the by are also arrogant I concur.

So if Amorim is to play 3 CBs? Who are they? Do Man U have many CB apart from De Ligt n Martinez? Varana is gone, what happened to Maquire n Liderlof?

Casemiro made sure Garnacho knows what mistake he has done there.

Should've stayed at RM. Utd could've had Tchouaméni to jog back at the same pace as Garnacho
