Mission Impossible
Well guys, i dont want to spread anxiety yet, but the way i see it (as of now), our best bet is La Liga and La Liga only.
Our rivals are growing exponentially in strength. Now It's not barca only. Man City, and Chelsea.....etc are forces to reckon with as well. Sure Barca are a rival to respect, but we already know what to expect from them. We fear not what we know or expect but what we dont know.
Let's not forget that we already are going to lose our most experienced AM, Kaka, and our best defensive midfield since makelele, Lass in the next few hours. It feels like time is ticking backwards.
We also saw how good Chelsea's transfers were this season and how even better Man City are looking on paper and on pitch. City only need to strengthen their defense and probably opt for a new manager and next year they ll be taking the world by a storm.
Why La Liga? Because we will not be able to defend against strong rivals in knockout stages whereas we can put a decent and lengthy fight in La Liga.
Our weakest link is still our defense. We have a goalkeeper that have rusted since 5 years. We only play him because he is spanish. I will have to watch the game today and then i ll be able to give you a better insight and project my predictions into the future by applying a weighing factor to the credentials of every player (we will improve, but the improvement factor will not exceed 25% for example).
I will be very disappointed if mourinho starts with Marcelo at the left. I expect him to start with Coentrao at the left and anything less, mourinho means no business.

Re: Mission Impossible
Mission possible I say
We'll win the CL and only the CL
Why the CL? Its our obsession, barca are still a long way from our league title record [and CL for that matter] so let them have fun in this two-horse race competition

Maybe we need to buy better players if ours aren't good enough.

Re: Mission Impossible
I am not happy with our play so far. There is no structure.
I do hope we score more goals because if Barca scores three tomorrow they'll head the table.

Just so you know if I were a mod you would have been banned a while ago.
It would probably be an abuse of power but I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

Re: Mission Impossible
We might have won a battle today, but the war is far from being over.
We will have tougher competition soon especially in the champions league.
It all depends on whether we sell kaka / lass by Monday or Wednesday and how much play time we give them if we chose not to.

Re: Mission Impossible
its not impossible or anything, all what we need is fair refereeing.
how on earth do you expect us to win the CL if we have goals disallowed for absulotly no reason.
how on earth do you expect us to win the CL if we have players sent off for absulotly no reason.
we all know how barca won their last 2 CL trophies (if you dont watch 2009 and 2011 semi finals).
to be honest , i prefer not winning a single trophy than winning one the way they did.
thats why Im standing with Mou in that whole situation.

Barca deserved winning last season in every encouter with us. They were very unlucky to let the CDR slip from their grasp. We were the lucky ones.
I cant say the same this season. But going off our way to say that we were the victims in the CL last season is not the way to go. The way to go would be accepting defeat. Accepting they were better than us, still are by a small margin and thriving to improve.
We are the underdogs. Let's fight like ones.

Ofcourse it's not mission impossible or anything. Dont be so blunt like this Zzz before you. The title is meant to spice things up. The real context is it will be much more difficult to win the trophy this season than it was last season. Chances are we're going to face alot of strong opponents this year and we're going to bleed yellow cards. We have to be at the top of our game physically and mentally.
