M'Baye Niang - RM after him
Apparently, Madrid and others are willing to pay 11 million for this french phenom.
So you know, he's only 16 years old and already a starter for Caen in Ligue 1.

Nicknamed the new Henry, a big talnet indeed but he will bench for us. There is no way I can see a 16 year old get rotation/playing time with Higuain and Morata there.

Re: M'Baye Niang - RM after him
RM scouts were spotted in Caen... so i have a feeling this one may have some legs. There's rumors that Zidane is on him.

Yeah. Daily Mail is just picking up that there are 10-20 scouts at every game watching him from all the big clubs. I'd heard that Caen set a "Varane-like" transfer fee on him and that nobody blinked.
Won't happen until next summer anyhow. It's just an early FYI.
Btw, he can play midfield too. He was made into a striker because of his scoring instincts but was trained as a CM. One of those players that can play anywhere in the front... something Mou loves.

Because they've been there ever since he broke in to the A club. It's very common knowledge in France that all the big clubs are following him closely and trying to pounce. Caen is not a club that can refuse a big offer and everyone knows it. So all the top clubs want to get in quickly.

we will see how it unfolds... we have so many young CFs in our academy that i dooubt we pay big money for him, no urgency at all.

Re: M'Baye Niang - RM after him
He's going to play with Varane on the France youth team in 10 days actually... he's only freakin 16 and he's already skipped a couple of the youth levels for the France NT

Re: M'Baye Niang - RM after him
I actually have more details on Madrid's interest... they want to buy him now for 11.5 million and loan him to Caen for at least a year. So the idea is just to get him as our property now and letting him develop in Ligue 1 for a while. Makes sense.

Re: M'Baye Niang - RM after him
Still he's too young imo, would very hard to accomodate a 17yr old if we get him next year when we've so much talent above him in the pecking order [castilla players].
If we'll do the loan thing then it might be great. New RM policy, get young promising kids [non-castilla] and loan them, if really successful bring them back.

read my last post H.A. : Buy him him and leave him on loan at Caen so he gets Ligue 1 experience for at least a year.

I thought we were investing on Morata and co, what's the point.
11M is ridiculous for a 16 yo.

Re: M'Baye Niang - RM after him
We paid 10 million for a 18 yo with 6 months experience (Varane). This kid has about the same amount of experience as Varane when we bought him... Zidane and Madrid carry the biggest stick in France now.
Transfer price is set for all the clubs and it will be up to the kid to pick a club methinks.
As far as why... you can never buy enough phenoms if you can afford it. Most of them don't pan out like you'd want. But the one that does turns out to be a world-beater.

Re: M'Baye Niang - RM after him
I read it sport, got what you were saying.
I understand Madrid wanting to get whatever great talent it sees but it could really backfire on us in the future.
If we'll actually do more deal like this [in theory] then we'll simply lose track because then you will have to choose between our castilla and those players.
Anyway I don't want to think way ahead and let's see if this even actually happens in this transfer window.

fari enough, i share the same opinion, you never have enough youngsters, but at the same time, you have to commit on some when they show talent.
cant read the future but why not.
why didnt we start earlier and grabbed Pogba . we need playmakers and defenders.
