Niang.. a Pato or a an Adiyah????
what du u think about hte new signing from caen??? i think its confirmed that we have signed him.. i knw most of u are not so interested in him.. but could he become another youngster that would flourish in the milan colours like pato and el shaarawy or would it be someone who would flop and leave the club without a single appearance like diago and adiyah???

good if he's in the 1st team, at least on the 12 man bench.

Re: Niang.. a Pato or a an Adiyah????
I've never seen him, however I imagine he would play a similar number of minutes as El Shaarawy in his first season should he join, probably more even, given the reduced depth in this area and Pato's regular absences.
I shall wait until there's actually official confirmation that we've captured him to say more, however it's difficult for me to say more having not seen him play to know his qualities and ability to play with our other forwards. Ideally we would be strengthening other areas of the squad, however as a free loan initially this shouldn't harm our efforts elsewhere in the market, which is a positive sign.

Great talent, Arsenal were supposed to sign him but couldn't agree a deal with Caen (£5 million bid from Arsenal was rejected) - I'm not sure if he'll be with the first-team in Milan as I'm not familiar with Milan's striker options but he's one for the future, only 17 years old and regarded as "The new Henry".

Re: Niang.. a Pato or a an Adiyah????
Good, not great talent at this point. He burst on the scene at the age of 16 actually when Caen was in second division. When Caen made Ligue 1, Niang couldn't handle it. Caen got relegated after last year and he barely played at all.
But he is 17, fast and has a big physique. Technically... he's very, very raw. Has at least 2 years of work to put in before he's a bonafide player. Right now, he's a youth prospect.
You shouldn't expect anything from him this year. But again, he could turn into a gem.

Thanks for the information sports, from the description you give I would imagine he'd be used in the Primavera alongside Ganz or Prosenik for observation initially rather than taking a spot on the increased substitute bench.

He was sent on loan four times, finally being bought by a Ukrainian club. During this entire time, he's scored one league goal, which is interestingly his career total. How he was ever named Ghana's player of the year is beyond me.

Yeah he needs to play and make mistakes on the pitch... taking a kid and putting him on the bench would be a waste imo. Call him up now and then to try him out though.

He is going probably to our our youth team. Who knows, maybe something will come of him. Maybe Pippo will make something out of him. I dont think that he will be new Adiyah but for his sake i hope he doesnt become new Pato.

Too old for Pippo's team, he'd be under the guidance of Dolcetti.
A cynical thought, but sadly true, that we don't want Niang to become like either of these players in their own ways.

I've never seen him play. But at 17 he is going to be really raw and will take time to develop. Hopefully it becomes official and we can see more of him

So he didnt even get one single chance with Milan? He was the top scorer in the U-20 World Cup,and he was the one that struck the header that Suarez saved with his handdostoevsky wrote:vivabarca38 wrote:By the way what happened to Adiyiah?

He got a chance in the youth team, but I think he just had 1 great tournament. The rest of his career (before and after the U20 WC) was very unimpressive.vivabarca38 wrote:So he didnt even get one single chance with Milan? He was the top scorer in the U-20 World Cup,and he was the one that struck the header that Suarez saved with his handdostoevsky wrote:vivabarca38 wrote:By the way what happened to Adiyiah?

Ancelotti was a actually quite a fan of the aubameyang brothers. He gave them some opportunities but when he left the new coaches didnt really care about them.
Had Ancelotti stayed they might have had a chance to feature in the starting 11.

Hopefully he isn't either. One was a total waste, the other is injury plagued.

"The boy seems a good player, which explains why we have been watching him for several years. If we sign him, he'll go into the first team, despite his tender age."
so he is the el shaarawy of this season?

Re: Niang.. a Pato or a an Adiyah????
The promising youngster has been likened to former Arsenal star Thierry Henry due to his style of play, but Niang has stressed that he cannot be compared to anyone.
"Am I the new Henry? I don't like comparisons: Henry is Henry, and Niang is Niang."
