Juventus after Both Lugano and Alex, Bonucci gone?

Four strokes in nine days: Juventus prepares for final push to the market. The dg Marotta has long been working to give to Count offensive and at least two outside a central defender. To reinforce the left wing is coming Giaccherini of Cesena with a stranger, you are getting the names of Elia, Perotti, Vargas, Afellay and Farfan.

As for the defense, the Uruguayan Diego Lugano, Fenerbahce is a cheaper alternative to Chelsea's Brazilian Alex. But there is a possibility that the end can get both, provided they agree to be Bonucci sold to Zenit St Petersburg in Russia, coached by Spalletti.

But seriously, I thought Conte and Marotta debunked these rumors ?

And both are not needed. Four is plenty, not to mention Sorensen can play in as a CB given it is his natural position.

I don't want Bon bon gone. I just want him to learn from a more experienced CB then take over from them when they retire/move.

Really a bit too steep for me Devi. Both are good, experienced defenders no doubt about it, but I think Lugano who is free if I am not mistaken is just as good as Alex, he is after all the captain of Uruguay whereas Alex is warming the bench on Chelsea.

If Marotta had bought a LW already then I would be fine with that fee, but I would rather get Lugano to add to Chiellini, Bonucci, Barzagli, and Sorenssen for free and use the money to get a quality LW.

Look for €0.0M or a maximum of €3.5M Lugano would make at the very least a good depth player, at most a stop gap partner for Chiellini untill Bonucci (or Sorensen etc, etc) is trully ready to hold that position.

Alex I made a point of watching in the game vs. WBA and was underwhelmed; was at fault for Shane Longs goal and pretty much struggled throughout. Not convinced and for €8M plus and a salary of €3.5M-€4M I'm personally not sold.

That is his salary ? No thank you. He is not a huge player, and he will not even be a concrete starter like Chiellini, so that is outrageous.

I know Devi, you have never once trashed him, you just were honest in saying he makes mistakes and it is impossible to deny that; look at Cassano v. Bonucci in Trofeo TIM.

Sorenssen does need to go for a year, I reckon by the end of the transfer window he will go somewhere in Italia. I would not mind him going to Cesena in exchange for their midfielder, but he can only go on loan with NO option to buy.

Well I do not think it would be good to do that brother. By next season Alex and Lugano will be around 30 and 33 whereas Sorenssen will be 20 and Bonucci 25. I think Juventus should hold onto Bonucci and perhaps rotate him with Lugano or Alex.

Or possibly play Bonucci, if he is doing poorly in the game, substitute him out. That way he learns to play well so he will not be taken out. He just needs motivation, I can assure you under Conte and playing in a full-strength Juventus squad, he will prosper.

So last year's summer mercato went like this:

Traore, Rinaudo, Lanzafame, Aquilani all gone. Sorensen will go on loan. Martinez will hopefully be gone by next week. Motta and Pepe are bench warmers at best. Storari will be on the bench as Gigi is fully healthy now. Bonucci looks like he's on the way out. And Quags has had a serious knee injury and may not even be fully healthy until December.

So our entire summer mercato last year comes down to Milos Krasic. What a waste of a summer mercato.

I hope this year that Pirlo, Vidal and Vucinic make some big contributions. If they don't then unfortunately we are gonna need another revolution at Juventus.

This mercato, Pirlo, Vucinic, Vidal, Lichtsteiner will all be starters. If you count Matri as this mercato, then him as well. So clearly Conte and Marotta are working to revitalize the squad.

Quags, Martinez, Bonucci, Motta, Krasic and Aquilani all came in to start last year. Out of those 6 starters, we only have 3 left and it looks like Bonucci is on his way out. That leaves Quags and Krasic. Quags is still not healthy and so that leaves Krasic as our only starter from last year's summer mercato.

Like I said, what a waste. I'm not saying it is all Marotta's fault, but I am just pointing out the facts. Yes, thankfully we got Matri in the winter so that helps. But Toni was a waste, so at the end of the day, after two mercatos we are left with only two starters, Krasic and Matri. That is not good enough to get Juventus to the next level and a CL spot.

Hopefully Licht, Vidal, Pirlo and Vucinic can come in and all be quality starters this year. If that is the case, then we are headed in the right direction. If the same thing hapens with this year's mercato as last year's, then unfortunately we need another revolution.

We need Bonbon to stay to become better.Maybe ATM Lugano and Alex are better but they are short term players and we will have the same problem after 2-3 seasons
