Italy getting owned by Ireland Reserves
Hilarious stuff especially after all the wankfest on here because of a routine win against Estonia.

Re: Italy getting owned by Ireland Reserves
Um... You know that our reserves played aswell... We had our second team playing out there. Only regulars were Rossi, Pazzini and Pirlo...

Re: Italy getting owned by Ireland Reserves
I'll give it to Ireland who played fantastically with their defensive tactics. I'm not surprised because Trap is a genius. However we played with our reserves aswell, our second team, if it was our first team, then there would be something to talk about... I congratulate Ireland however this result shouldn't be taken serious or any precaution for Italy because it was just a friendly and we used experiments with no intentions in winning this game.

This Irish is not a bad side by any means. Trap has done a good job with us. And we did play one regular in Andrews

Well, we did dominate however, it was our fullbacks which failed to produce any support on the flanks. Every cross either long or blocked and mostly short by Cassani.
Ireland closed all the spaces... Nothing for us to do there...

Re: Italy getting owned by Ireland Reserves
Look let's not get ahead of ourselves Italy had around 70% possession...
The fact is, and I've said it many times, this type of game is Italy's weakness.
Physical and pacey, look for the aerial battle and just sit with two banks of four. Trap knows this better than anyone! No doubt he played in defeats like this and he certainly coached them.
I wait intently for the Spain game which we will find easier to adapt to than Ireland, Ivory Coast, Slovakia, New Zealand...

Losing to Ireland isn't like losing to San Marino.
Trap has us playing well in his system and we are hard to breakdown. St.Ledger had a good defensive performance tonight.

Re: Italy getting owned by Ireland Reserves
I'm just disappointed that Prandelli's experiments in my opinion made no sense. He should of started with Matri from the beginning, fine gave Monto another chance in TQ, failed, but it took him until his last sub to put on Giovinco which is again a poor choice to do. I don't understand what Prandelli expected from Matri when Rossi went off. Now don't get me wrong, he did good, but I mean, you actually expect Matri to be a better SS over Rossi? Pazzini should of been subbed off.. but whatever.
