Spanish SuperCup. 2nd Leg

2nd Leg, yes the leg that determines who takes the trophy home.

During the first clash we all witnessed how our team went out onto the field and played with confidence, not fear and how mourinho may have finally made the right moves in terms of tactics and substitutions.

With the 2nd leg only a few days away how do you guys think we will apporach this game and will mou come out raging at barca once again?

I dont think we can win, but the improvement is good, by the Liga clasico if we continue like this we will be able to take our game to them and beat them at it.

I think it's obvious that we lost the cup but i want to see a great game from us. doesn't matter if we lose or draw, just want to see a good performance from our players.

Everyone should realize that the game at Camp Nou is going to be 10x harder. It's home for them and away for us. You can't just expect us to be as effective... very slim chance of that happening.

The biggest improvements needed:
- defending by the CBs was good 80% of the time. But when it failed, it was whiff city. Truly afraid of Carvalho this season
- pepe cannot make the same challenges at Camp Nou. Red card guaranteed
- Khedira needs to play better
- Better finishing all around (not to worried about this. movements were there. just an off day with luck)
- Mou needs to bring fresh legs at the 65 min mark at CF, AM and Coentrao/Di Maria spots. Forwards doing a lot of work to help defense. Can't sustain that for more than these minutes if you're not CR7.
- Coentrao should start

i disagree with the people that say that we already lost. thats not the attitude we should take. we are going to face an up hill battle but its almost fit if we go to their home and we prove to them we can bring it to them there as well one way or the other.

we will win the super copa.

if i am right then we should be happy men, if we dont then we shouldnt over dramaztize either.

Actually we sometimes perform better against them when the game is at Nou Camp. (except the 5-0)

I fully agree with this line up expect Conteraos place. IMO he should play on the left.

i think that mourinho better find a way to support the right flank, because more often than not all the dangerous attacks have come from there.

either pedro exploiting arbeloa or villa exploiting ramos they always seem to find an unbalance in our team there, as if the scale tips to one sole position.

reinforce both sides of the fields and try to prepare for flank attack changes. these changes where we are bombarded by attacks out of no where and then give up to the sudden pressure ate us up yesterday and have eaten us up time and time again.

ramos couldnt deal with the full force, full momentum villa, and pepe's mistake helped messi exploit the gap.

fix the defense.

thats what they like to do, it has to do to you basically defending at one place and them quickly getting it to the other side lethally.

The defence is fine, don't let Barca's two goals cloud your judgement.

They only had two shots on target and even last year never really created a lot of chances. We are obviously doing something right defensively.

Offence is the recurring problem and our forwards have to deliver at some point. Wasted chances has been a recurring problem and it really is getting annoying to watch miss chance after chance in these games.

maybe i made my statement a bit too agressive when i said FIX THE DEFENSE, i ment fix it so it is ready to those flank changes.

if you havent seen what i am talking about then i suggest you re-watch the matches.

and for anyone who understands spanish, this is pure gold, specially the point where roncero gloats about barca only beating us once in past 5 matches, and that was the "PEPE" match... lol

fully agree with this one, based on dimarias game last time you could clearly see he wasnt on the same page as the other ones, so coentrao for me.

the defence looks solid as well, arbeloa doesnt need to attack because coentrao will do that and on the other wing marcelo can attack as he wishes because he will have khediras back, brilliant formation hope he starts with that one

i hope cesc starts as well, he is so crap, we will easily disposess him

Defense was not great in the back 4 honestly But we played excellent pressure up front and played good D in the middle. We were lucky that we rarely had to defend close to our box... there were some issues.

And scoring 2 goals should be enough to win a game at home against a top shelf team or anyone for that matter. Sure, we could have had 4. But 2 of them is fine... we got unlucky giving up 2.

Should have still scored more than we did though regardless. No excuse for how wasteful we were IMO.
