I guess the recent inferiority complex and years of losing to Barca has produced an outburst excitement of energy reminiscent of Oprah.

End result judging by the posts would've looked like 2-0 by Madrid except its 2-2. Which is NOT a win.

Madrid were better (although many deserved cards and Khedira should've been sent off).

Keep in mind though, this was Barca without Xavi, Pique, Puyi, Busi and Pedro. FIVE of their key players.

The thing is when they came on the game wasn't impacted in any way. We still had more possession, shots, corners you name it. Poor excuse is poor.

As for Puyol, he's in the twilight of his career. He won't be a major player this year. (could be wrong though)

Yh fair point, i would'nt underestimate the effect of no Busquets tho he's more important than Xavi in my eyes especially now with Thiago and Cesc.

I would've thought you would know the difference between subbing starters and subbing impact subs into the game.

Pique came in the 63rd minute. Xavi in the 60th. Pedro in the 73rd. Puyol didn't play.

All came in when both teams had done their damage and it made a worlds of a difference in Barca's general play as they were more collected and held better possession. Keep in mind these are players meant to start and are NOT impact subs as some are trained to be. They came in during the flow of the momentum.



What if all of them started? They could have created their own momentum and flow based on their familiarity with each other as the players on the field for Barca within their partnerships were all unfamilar with each other. Masch and Abidal. Sanchez with the front flank. Thiago with Keita and Iniesta.
