Notts County jumped at Juve invitation

Notts County reveal they “were prepared to move heaven and earth” to inaugurate the new Juventus stadium.
The Bianconeri have invited the Magpies to Turin for a special exhibition match in the new 41,000-seater arena on September 8.

This is because Juve first got their famous black and white stripes by using the Notts County kit in 1903, inspired by English club director John Savage, replacing the original pink jerseys.

“I have to admit that when the offer first came in I was slightly taken aback,” explained Notts County chairman Ray Trew.

“When we sat down to look at the fixture list, we've obviously got a home game against Walsall just two days later and then a trip to Exeter the following Tuesday.

“However, given the historical relationship between our two clubs and the sheer prestige of the occasion, we were prepared to move heaven and earth to make this happen.

“I have spoken to Martin Allen and while it's not ideal obviously, given the schedule of fixtures around that time, he was in agreement that we simply couldn't pass up this opportunity.

“It will be a fantastic night for everyone associated with this great football club, the players, the staff and of course the fans.”

They will loose no matter what.. lol.. sounds like notts county will do everything to let Juve win

The friendly is being hosted by us on September 8 which is midweek really..And which 'BIG CLUB' would be ready to accept our invitation ?No one really since they would have a more important weekend fixture in the league to face rather than having a friendly with us just as a sentiment for the opening of our new stadium..

Inter Primavera is 2nd best team in city of Milan with Inter being 1st
