Player Comparison

Okay, I know this has been done a thousand times but im just trying to settle an argument. My friend thinks that gerrard is alot better than scholes, my argument is that gerrard is an excellent all rounder while scholes is an excellent creative playmaker. He thinks gerrard is better in every way and by alot. he calls paul scholes 'shit' and claims he isn't one of the best midfielders to ever come out of england. Remember we are talking about both players when they were in their prime. I would like to see your views on this argument.
