Those transfer things on SAFC.com are not confirmations of players that we are interested in.

It is just a rumour round up of players mentioned in the press.

I'd give Gordon a new contract. Class keeper. Plus, didn't he arrive to Sunderland for a hefty price?

I like Gordon when hes fit, but he does seem to have allot of injury problems.

He was the most expensive British keeper when we signed him, might still be.

Problem is though he is also one of our highest earners. I doubt he would accept a wage reduction so we will be paying large amounts to a player we dont see play much.

This could be better spent elsewhere.

I would give Gordon a new contract as I think he is a good goalkeeper when fit. If he does well next season when he recovers from his injury, I wouldn't sell him.

Sad Steed Being sold to St Ettiene

Dunno what to make of this. In some ways it will bring a small transfer fee in and free up some wages.

But he has been one of my favourite Sunderland players of recent years.

I suppose he is getting on and struggles to play full games these days, and isnt particularly affective in front of goal.

But he can disrupt defences and is excellent at keeping possession. I thought he would of linked up well with Sess.

:/ If it was a week ago we could of replaced him with nzogbia.

God only knows who we will play on the left now

We won last night 3-1 against Hartlepool.
Gyan, Colback and Larsson scored.

Larsson played well on the left against Hartlepool so he might have to play him there.

Sad to see Steed go. Was a good player for us and played well for us in a lot of games.

If sunderland can get Bellamy, as its being reported, then that would be a great signing. But wages might be a problem

He might start a few games but don't think he'll be a regular starter.
See him coming on the bench a lot of times this season though.

Sad according to the SMB Ryan Noble has a 4inch crack in his back & will be out for the season.

Such a shame been expecting him to break into the first team for a wile but he has had no luck with injuries.

He had a sudden growth spurt where he greew quite allot in a short space of time, he has also had allot of back related injury problems.

apparently its not actually that common, Kieron richardson had the same thing not long after we signed him. IIRC he was playing for a wile with it.

Mclean transfer confirmed.

Cant say I know much about him but he is pretty highly rated, seems there was a few teams after him.

Heres a interview Bruce did tonight if you wanna listen Real
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p00jd25t/Total_Sport_09_08_2011/

Pretty lengthy interview.

McLean wont be going straight into first team, he is one to develop for the future, we are interested in Bellamy.
