5 games, 4 goals, 42 shots = 9.5% efficiency
42 shots, 17 shots on goal = 40.5% accuracy
190 passes, 136 passes completed = 71.5%
47 turnovers, 190 passes = 25%
i mean, this is just lol x1000 worthy. I'm not even including his supercup fails.
If you want to point the finger at why our offense seems out of sync, CR7 is one of the main culprits: he hogs the ball, he can't pass, he can't shoot and he's a turnover machine so far.
Very disappointing.
How's this kneejerk. All i'm suggesting is that he should stop being the focal point until he regains form... the numbers above are really, really, really bad.

Those 4 goals were 3 tap ins and a penalty.
His shooting has been very poor.

Re: la Máquina - Cristiano Ronaldo
I don't know how to fix that, but Ronaldo is Ronaldo and he won't improve.
He become so predictible and somehow he put all the game pressure on his own so he start shooting from nowhere, hogging the ball and making some runs forward to finally give the ball to the oppenent and the most annoying thing who has improved in is complaining each ref decision.
What about putting him behind strikers

Re: la Máquina - Cristiano Ronaldo
I rarely like Ronaldo's game in general, even when he's scoring a hattrick, but I love his performance yesterday, especially first half.

Re: la Máquina - Cristiano Ronaldo
That first goal was a masterpiece by CR7. He linked up twice up the field, once in RM's half and one midway to the box... he continued running full steam. When he gave it to Ozil and Ozil passed it to Benz, CR7 made a run where he faked going second post and cut inside the defender. That's how he was so open. Showed his stuff off there.

As I stated some many moons ago that only I remember (duh), the man has some of the best off the ball running I've seen in a good while. I think only Messi and Iniesta can really match his off the ball movement honestly...

Re: la Máquina - Cristiano Ronaldo
His lay off to Kaka for the second goal was very easy on the eye as well. The dummy run also gave Kaka space to take a shot.
A tactical master class from him IMO.

Good game from Cris, He does seem to me making a real effort to get others involved, trying is all that we ask, because with his talent trying will eventually result in doing...

Yes he is, but it seems lost on the masses who don't, always, understand subtle passes.
Actaully, you could make a very viable argument that, all things being equal, he's the best offensive player in the world.
And, yes, "tap ins" are good......means that you gave the foresight and the physical ability to get into the appropriate position. Inarguably, he makes the best runs on the planet, as I see it!

Re: la Máquina - Cristiano Ronaldo
I agree with the comments that he should make these passes more often. It's kind of ironic that when he arrived his 2 biggest strengths were his dribbling and his free kicks, both of which are failing right now. He was becoming too predictable. By making more passes, he becomes more of a team player , play maker and not so predictable. Once that happens likely his original strengths will return.

Re: la Máquina - Cristiano Ronaldo
It's about staying fresh and changing up your game over time to keep defenders guessing.
Most players can't do this because of their limited ability.
Ronaldo is blessed with a very complete game. He can play to any of his many strengths to change things up.
