JUST IN: Valencia have found the two people who racially insulted Viní Jr & will release a statement shortly. @elchiringuitotv pic.twitter.com/IEgkR74Ki5

2 people LaLiga will never rid itself of racism when they blatantly sweep it under the carpet like this. To Valencia the whole stadium is being narrowed down to 2 people. Absolute joke

Reason being as we all said already n as Sport mentioned, opposition fans n prolly players alike will just enjoy it n wanna do it even more if they see Vini act that way all the time, it just doesnt solve anything n actually provokes them n makes things worst. Pretty sure he will realize that soon, will need to learn to control himself as hes not a teenager anymore? Hes a damn elite pro sports star, n he has to face the public day in day out or at least when he plays, n that includes racists, ultras, fans or whoever, etc, lol? N if Real has some competent advisers to help him... otherwise I agree with Sport, if he cant handle that type of pressure he prolly better off at another club with another environment.

Re: EA Sports La Liga 2022/23
You think it's ok for players to chokehold him because he mocks them? Or for fans to hang up effigies of him out on the highway.
This reminds me of early in the seaosn when people said he should blame himself for racist chants because he was dancing after scoring goals. Soon his harcut will offend people.
Get a grip boy, Vini isnt doing anything more than an average footballer does on a pitch. Players in EPL complain of wht Haaland does in a game to get in the head of the defenders yet I don't see players being encouraged to break his legs and then blaming him for it. In fact we have seen nothing beyond thos players complaining of his shittalking.
People have found the perfect target. First it was Ronaldo, then Ramos and now Vini but it has now turned into something ugly as fans aren't chanting for him to die only but the whole stadium wre chanting monkey at him in unison and the head of the league is pretending that nothing is happening.
I genuinly hope Perez can get his ESL to become a reality. LaLiga do not deserve us

Re: EA Sports La Liga 2022/23
The only three things that would cause actual movement (and not lip service which is all that's going on, including Real Madrid. Hate crime? Get a grip lol; that's not going anywhere) are:
- Politicians/elected officials/bureaucrats feeling that their power is being threatened
- Sponsors going away
- Fans moving away from football
None of these 3 are going to happen in the short term. So instead, there's this whole PR thing going on right now which will likely lead to absolutely... nothing.
So, Vini needs to develop a thick skin and stop reacting, which will then cause people to stop triggering him this way. Because, believe it or not, the intent isn't to be racist. It's to get Vini to play worse/self-destruct so their team wins. That's it. Nothing more sinister than that.
Even if change were to occur... it will take years btw. So Vini either adapts or needs to leave. There's no other choice for him.
I'm saying this with Vini's well-being in mind. It just won't end well for him by attacking and calling out these idiots. The only way is to not play their game... Vini is reacting in the exact manner that they hope he would believe it or not. Get out of La Liga kid. Your mental health and happiness aren't worth it if you can't deal. Plenty of great clubs in more hospitable places would love to have you.
Just to also be clear, I adore Spain. But just like France, there are a lot of morons and a lot of them seem to go to football games. France is more diverse than Spain though... so if fans were to say something racist in the stands, there's a good chance that a group of other fans would beat the crap out of them. So for self-preservation purposes, this type of idiocy happens less. Plenty of racism in France though... but not during football games.

Not as bad as Italy or Spain though. With hooligans banned, a lot of the terrible ones went away as a secondary impact.

Parts of this take are reasonable and parts are just wild.
Vini did nothing wrong. He's done absolutely nothing that we don't see anywhere in Spain or elsewhere. He's done nothing to deserve the abuse he's receiving nor have those who are abusing him done nothing to deserve being protected from their actions. Why does he have to change how he conducts himself yet the people racially abusing him, whether its 2 or the whole fucking nation, get to just continue doing it without absolutely any accountability? That's an astounding thing to say to a victim of racist abuse.
I do agree that there needs to be a mass exodus of Black players from both La Liga (and Serie A as well) as racism is rampant among not just the fans, but the media and league organizations as well. The requires a concerted effort from both the players and the agencies repping them to take a stand. Unfortunately, money talks though.

So he either needs to adapt or leave. He's lucky enough that the option is available for him. A lot of people dealing with racism (and other prejudice) don't have an opportunity to leave the situation.

I get the crux of what you're saying. Perhaps it's just the wording.
There's a lot of "buck up, buttercup" energy to that "adapt" portion that just doesn't sit right with me.

TOTALLY DISAGREE, Sports proclaims he knows more about my country that I do! There are definitely problems, but this totally damming the entire country is a bit ridiculous. There is one asshole that is behind most of this and that is Tebas. He is being called out, all over the place today. This won’t get fixed quickly, but there are plenty of things happening today and much of it is due to Vinicius clearly identifying the culprits.
And this saying Vinicius is the cause of it or has to accept it ……is just offensive. Just look at the posts the fucking moron has made!

1. Neither Spain nor @LaLiga is racist, it is unfair to say this.
— Javier Tebas Medrano (@Tebasjavier) May 22, 2023
2. At @LaLiga we report and go after racism in the strongest possible way within our remit.
3. We have reported nine instances of racist insults this season (eight have been against @vinijr). We always identify… https://t.co/KFXHOJv6cb

None of those things happen without the PR and attention that stems from it. The very easiest way for it to continue is for everyone to act like it's just a case of a few bad apples. Whether it's to get in his mind or because of actual racist attitudes, these are the sort of things that need to be punished irrespective. It's not funny, it's not fun and games, it's just plain racism and hatefulness, and should be treated that way.
