Re: World Cup 2022 - Last 16 Round
That 3rd goal was painful to watch. No one pressed Blind and Dumfries was wide open in the area. That's down to bad coaching. Hope the US gets a real pro after this.

Re: World Cup 2022 - Last 16 Round
How is it the US still suck at 'soccer' after all these yrs? Maybe they should start taking it serious n actually change the sports name first
Seriously US should be better, I guess the only logically explanation is as above, ppl just prefer lots of other sports?

Here's hoping in 4 years USA produce more quality number 9s. Feel like US was good going forward but lacked more goal. They also need more vision in their midfield.BarrileteCosmico wrote:That 3rd goal was painful to watch. No one pressed Blind and Dumfries was wide open in the area. That's down to bad coaching. Re: World Cup 2022 - Last 16 Round
Netherlands looked comfortable the entire time and dangerous on the on the counter. FDJ is having a great WC. I don't think they'll be easy for Arg/Aus to get through

tactical masterclass from LVG tbh
Argentina will have big problems with this defence and counters

I’m not sold on Holland tbh, I think the USA just made it too easy for them. If Argentina doesn’t choke today I think they will win the QF easily.

Arg time wasting already, man they play ugly at times tbh... Australia played well so far but they need to pull magic now...

Btw anyone know if Di Maria is injured?
When hes not on its just basically just Messi in attack, luckily a bit of help from Alvarez nowadays...

I’m not the least bit impressed with Argentina. If they make it to semi, (and that certainly is not a given any more) I say Brasil will demolish them!

The RB is just as bad No wonder Arg has nothing going forward if Di Maria is out... no nothing from the wings.

Lautaro shouldn’t see a single fucking minute again. You can’t miss 3 sitters while your team is leading 2-1. That’s inexcusable.

They will be lucky to beat Holland! To think they only beat lowly Australia because of a major error by Aust. Portero!

If pace and power was a stat Tagliafico would be a zero. He’s the least physically dominant player ever.

How is Otamendi winning all those aerial duels against that lanky Aussie at the end

Re: World Cup 2022 - Last 16 Round
Overall decently happy, although I think we let them back in when we could've sealed it earlier. A combination of missing goals we shouldn't have and a freak own-goal from a bad clearance.
Hope this is the last time we face a parked bus because I'm so tired of taking these apart.
De Paul great game after the 1st goal. Alvarez fantastic off-ball movement, really stretched the play (thanks Pep!). 'Egg' Acuña was a menace throughout.
On the other side, every time Cuti Romero tried to play from the back I got a little scared, other teams will try to exploit that. And Di Maria was missed before Messi scored and the game opened up.
We switched to 3 at the back to allow the FBs to push up the field and widen the play (arguably should've started this way). It was not a defensive move.
Yeah he got injured prior to the match, but might be available vs netherlands
He's going through a Lukaku spell. It'll sort itself out when it matters most... and if not Dybala was warming up and nipping at his heels.
I didn't want to say it because GL jynx but now that it's out, he's been massive this entire WC. Just bracing myself for the inevitable fuckup.
Spot on

The train rolls on. The major test will be Netherlands, which will put my hypothesis to the test that they can raise their game when needed. If they win that I think they'll win the WC.
