Shame they are being managed by a dinosaur

Maddison on the list but no Sancho?

Oh shit forgot about Sancho. Southgate also needs to beg Vardy out of retirement

Thimmy wrote:I don't think anyone had any qualms with him saying that Foden is talented, but rather a tacky tendency for him to publicly announce/claim that some player on his team is the best he's ever seen. Mourinho does the same thing.

Why is that a problem tho? All he's doing is trying to give confidence to his player.

Sure it's as fake as all hell but who cares.

Video is 3 years old. With France U21s when Saliba n co were 16/17. So whoever leaked it and is distributing is in serious trouble.

Been reading a lot of comments online about how "Jose was let down by his players". Do these people not realize that the reason that he was playing hyper defensively is that his players suck? And that it's really no surprise that the one time he starts a front 4 he let's in 5 goals?

Parking the bus is not a style choice, it's a necessity by having Dier as a starting CB.

He chose Dier as starting CB. Poch stopped playing him as a CB and only rotated him in as a DM and sometimes CB in cup games.

He has Davinson who can play instead. He is a mess at times as well, but Davinson has a lot more potential than Dier does, and has played well for Spurs/Poch before. A lot better than Dier, anyway.

Also, hyper defensive tactics aren't the only way to defend. Those hyper defensive tactics aren't really working so maybe it's time to try something else. If Tottenham play open and continue to bleed goals like this consistently, then there is a point to be made.

But making that point after a single game, a single data point, is stupid. We have a full season of data points to see that what Jose is doing right now isn't working. Chelsea, who were proactive and replaced their manager, are now ahead of Tottenham and Tottenham need to win their game in hand to level them. Spurs were previously above them by 4 points or something similar.

Fabinho missing Leicester game
Keita hasn't kicked a ball yet
Jota 3 weeks away still even though he was supposed to be back in Jan end

I want to die, I don't even remember even a single good news this season before or after any game.

mou's park the bus tactics work... With a healthy and fresh Kane. Little wonder he initiated both goals against West brom. He's really thriving in his role as a playmaker. But without him it completely falls apart.

And I agree he's an idiot for keeping Dier, but at this stage it is what it is. Today, given the quality of CBs he has (have always loved Toby but he's old and slow now too) defending deep makes the most sense.

and here I was thinking Fabinho and Kabak to start together and form a decent enough partnership if not Kabak and Davies rofl
So basically Fabinho was injured before City game, plays the game against City and then goes back to hospital again ! I always believed that our medical staff is the best in the country for keeping our core group of players fit for last 2-3 seasons. But seems like it is just simply not possible in this weird season.
As for the Leicester game, I really hope Nat and Kabak start together. We have to stop this shit "midfielders starting in defence".
