Re: La liga: H vs Cadiz:
Haaland and Ødegaard were greeted with the rugby treatment in their national team match against Northern Ireland, and the latter received a knock that had him lying on the ground for a short while.
"After the tests carried out today on our player Martin Ødegaard by the Real Madrid medical department, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the right soleus muscle. His recovery will continue to be assessed".
I assume he won't play against Cadiz as a precaution, but I doubt it's anything that will keep him out for the next match.

Re: La liga: H vs Cadiz:
Modric Kroos Isco is not a midfield for a team like Madrid and Marcelo and Vasquez don’t have the level to play for us today.
Bad team sélection yielding terrible results, but this is Zidane and his squad rotation philosophy. We usually take the good, today we get the very bad.

I hope it's Kroos Isco and Asensio. They literally offer nothing going forward.

Re: La liga: H vs Cadiz:
On the plus side Vini is getting better and better. Soon he will bag a couple and that just may the lightening rod to give him the confidence he needs to get to the next level. However there will be an issue once Hazard is ready! IMO, find another spot for Hazard and leave Vini on LW.
Also I think Jovic is getting some confidence. He and Benz are working well together. If only both can better time their runs to be onside.

Re: La liga: H vs Cadiz:
The second half is how we should ah e started the game which we would have won, but...
The number of mediocre Spanish players in this squad is astonishing: Lucas, Nacho, Asensio, Isco, good lord, all mediocre. The less they play the better. Isco is shockingly bad lol
At least Barca lost even if they are one game behind that’s all we can be happy about today

Can't say I'm surprised by the result given the way we've been playing for a while.
Isco and LV though lol how Zidane favored those two over James, I'll never know

I used to be one of Iscos biggest fans. But my God this guy has repressed so bad.
It's time to move on from him. He's had his chances and blown it

Re: La liga: H vs Cadiz:
Is it even personnel issue. ?
There is clear structural issue with the team which Zidane hasn't addressed even after a year. I really don't know what zidane does in attacking training ?
Just random shootout with GK probably.

Don’t know why zizou isn’t sticking with two strikers. As nick said earlier, that’s the way to go. We can’t score goals for shit and I saw tons of potential against Betis
Isco was so awful and made that formation. (4-4-2 diamond) look awful but inspite of that we still played great.

I actually liked what I saw last game with Vini, Jovic and Benz. They didn’t score but created well and had several good chances. Both Vini and Jovic need to bag a couple to raise their confidence, but I have a feeling, if they do, the goals will come. I just hope Zidane gives them the chance.

Re: La liga: H vs Cadiz:
I share your optimism, but I do think we need a superstar up front to strengthen our highly inconsistent and goal-starved attack.
I have already made my peace with the fact that Pogba will come next year, which is a disaster, but I have to accept it. However, there's a slight chance we might be able to sign Mbappé next year, provided he doesn't sign an extension until then, which would tremendously help us remedy our serious goal drought problem.
So yes, I don't really expect us to win the CL or even reach far into the competition this year or the next. But in 2022, we might be able to get back to being a good team again.

DoC What is this talk of us signing Pogba? He has regressed immensely and makes 0 sense to sign another attacking midfielder

Re: La liga: H vs Cadiz:
He hasn’t regressed much. Never had a good work rate, never had a consistent league season for Man United (can’t speak for his time at Juve), always performs well in a few matches per season, and it’s always in matches where United aren’t pressured defensively. This is his 4th, going on 5 seasons at Man United now.
I don’t know if blaming United for his lack of general production is still a thing, but the way I see it, he either has a poor character, or he needs a lot of elements to fall into place in order for him to perform to his full potential. Either way, I wouldn’t place any bets on him. I like to think that Mbappe is ahead of him on our priority list, at the very least.

Re: La liga: H vs Cadiz:
Pogba isnt good enough for Real Madrid based on their expectations for themselves unless we count the current status of the midfield.
In his head he is still a superstar but simply does not produce anywhere near enough to be considered that nor to be considered young.
Signing him unless for a low price would be a travesty.
