How long will Mikel Arteta be Arsenal‘s manager?
Re: Mikel Arteta Sack Watch

Who would've thunk
The sooner this trend dies, the better, Zizou really got clubs seeing red after his successes
Mate, this didn't start with Zizou, it's been going on for as long as football has been around. If you get rid of former players you lose 90% of your managers.
I know, i am just saying post-Zizou there was a wave of player managers
And yes, it should be like that. A coach should be an old parental figure not some green chickling, with a face younger than his players who barely got his badges but saw tifofootball on youtube and decided to give it a shot

Casciavit wrote:Haven't caught much if any of Arsenal this season, what are their problems?
I'm at work, so I'll answer in short.
1) Lack of quality midfielders. Hell Arsenal barely has midfielders in their squad in general. Every other problem comes down to this one. The team lacks quality midfielders in multiple ways.
a) They have no midfielder that is good at passing between the lines except Ceballos, and he's hit and miss at times (although he's clearly the best they've got)
b) They have no midfielder that has creative quality in the final third. No Bruno, Eriksen, Ozil type player. Obviously they have Ozil but it looks like his footballing career has ended and fortnite career began.
c) They have no quality ball carriers. This is arguably the aspect that Ceballos is the best at.
Because of the lack of quality midfielders, the build up is insanely one dimensional, relying heavily on wingers to carry the load, and Arsenal's wingers/wing backs aren't good enough for that. Bellerin and Tierney are average and at best can put in a decent cross here and there. Saka, Pepe, Willian aren't bad players but they aren't really explosive/dynamic wingers either, except Pepe who has obviously been shit. Their backups are Kolasinic, Maitland-Niles who aren't really anything special either.
Because of they're lack of midfield quality they're poor at building out from the back. Because of their lack of midfield quality, they're poor at getting into wide areas quickly enough or with any sort of tangible advantage. As a result, crosses into the box (which seem to be their only "creative" outlet) are too often too easy to defend against in numbers.
It's hard for me to overstate, once again, how strongly I feel that Xhaka should have been cut from this Arsenal team 2-3 years ago.
Jay, or any number of Arsenal fans here, could probably do a better analysis than me, but that's the base of what I see when I watch Arsenal. Honest to god just look at the squad. The team barely has midfielders let alone good ones.

Hey bb-gunner boys, answer my question, will you. Are your new signings solid building blocks or disappointing? I need to know is there any hope for your team.

Gabriel has arguably been our best player this season. Partey has barely played or settled in.

Xhaka
Farteta's record so far:
13 points out of 12 matches.
-5 goal difference.
Even Pep's time has come, time to sack his wannabe.

whoever Okay’d the signing is trying not to lose face. Not easy to eat your words when you convinced a group of people that you were making the right decision, probably bragged when things were looking good, and now you realize he is just the fraud everyone warned you about.Hapless_Hans wrote:What are they waiting for

I agree with this. I make an exception for Nagelsmann.

Then there is the whole compensation part (assuming there isn't a clause where he doesn't get any compensation for getting sacked). The number crunchers at Arsenal, you know, the guys that fired a mascot to balance the books while spending big on Partey (plus wages), probably seeing how much they have to pay Arteta and thinking "Nah".

If they gave Arteta, a complete noob and nobody who had never managed a club for a second before, a contract that has a big compensation fee they are not to be helped tbh

but rightly said, Arsenal run by spurs fans and partly run by Arsenal fans who watch youtube videos of how to beat Spurs/Liverpool/Southampton and expect Arsenal to win.

Re: Mikel Arteta Sack Watch
Just two wins and arsenal are in the seventh eight position a gap of 6 points are not much . Too many games left to play in the league.
Arsenal is still europa league and winning it would get arsenal champions league
I already wrote arsenal off before the season started Liverpool, city, Chelsea, spurs, united were always going to fight for the top 4 positions.
I still think arsenal will be top 6 by the end of the season.
By the summer window next season alot of players who are receiving heavy wages are likely to leave. So it will only be best to back arteta and hope for the best.

14 points from 14 games.
-6 goal difference.
13 points from top 4.
17 points from the top.
(at best) an average coach yet supremely overhyped beyond belief.
