Ismael Bennacer
Forget Torreira, forget Paredes, forget Bentancur.
A new Serie A midfielder has emerged, Ismael Bennacer
Position: CDM
Preferred foot: Left
Nationality: Algerian
Team: Empoli
Age: 21
Skills:
-Dribbling
-Fantastic L1+Triangle
-Incisive passing
-Great recycler of the ball
-Comfortable with possession
-Good with FKs
Negatives:
-Defensively lacking
-Short (5'6)
Napoli are hot on his heels, reportedly for 10m. However, Arsenal included a buyback clause and could possibly exercise it this summer.

Re: Ismael Bennacer
Does men up in the northern part of Africa learn to pass and dribble on one foot only and forget/ignore the other aspects as the game? Seeing a trend here and I need Giggity to educate me on this.
Also, he's alright.

Ismael Bennacer from Empoli to AC Milan. Done deal for €16M + €1M add ons. He's ready to sign a 5-years contract. Former Arsenal player. Here we go!

Wouldn't even make our bench. Sit down.
Kinda player that we wouldn't even be able to loan to another PL team. Guy is a D lister.

Re: Ismael Bennacer
Bennacer has been really, really good. Just giving my two cents. I don’t know if he’s ready for a top team but he is a complete midfielder. has a playstyle similar to bernardo silva in that not only is he technically gifted, he hustles and runs as much as anyone else

Great talent.
Feels refreshing to have street ballers in midfield and not donkeys who have to chase after their every first touch.
Algerian Maradona.

I don’t think Bennacer is one footed. not sure where you got that conclusion.
I think his defensive game has improved immensely and his football iq has evolved. really overall, his game has just gotten better too. The amount of pressing this Algerian team do as a Unit is just crazy. The discipline this team has is incredible. i’m genuinely excited for the future even if we lose tomorrow. We are better then our team in 2014. I’m gonna say we can become a Top international team if we keep it up for a couple more years. Really getting some athletico madrid vibes from this team
He is my AFCON player of the tournment. another performance against cote’divore and it’s set in stone.

Re: Ismael Bennacer
Pep #Guardiola a appelé #Bennacer !

He’d be excellent for them. He’s not a natural DM, he’s a left sided B2B with good technical ability.. but where does that leave foden

Re: Ismael Bennacer
Is the implication that Madrid not signing Bennacer means you aren't back to the top?
He is a good player for Empoli and a good project for Milan. Nowhere near being a key player for City or Madrid.

Re: Ismael Bennacer
That’s overly harsh. First off, he’s still young, and has plenty of time to improve. His main qualities are his work rate and technical ability in the midfield. He has excellent ball retention ability. He also won player of the tournament in AFCON, outshining players like Mahrez and Mane.
No one said he’d be a key player for those teams. He’s just being monitored because he is an excellent talent. You should try harder when you post.

Re: Ismael Bennacer
I responded to valk, asking him if that was the implication.
and I said he was a good player for Empoli and a good project for Milan, what is wrong about that? Milan signed a young talented player and have a project in developing him.
There is gap between a young midfielder (and player overall) that can grow at Milan and a player that is ready to have an impact in these Madrid/City teams. How is that harsh?
You should try harder to hide your bias

Re: Ismael Bennacer
No, maybe you should learn to read, I never said he was ready to be a starter. All I was saying is that he is a young player with the POTENTIAL to do well at these clubs, not be a key player right away.
How is calling him a kid and admitting he wouldn’t start at city or Madrid biased? I love how you see my nationality and automatically assume I’m biased. It’s not relevant to the conversation
Milan is a shitshow with their management at the moment. You’re telling me zizou or pep wouldn’t be a solid choice for him to grow further as a player?
Also, your implication was that he was a good project for Milan, when he’s easily one of their best players. Someone like Kessie or Hakan would be a “project”. So no I’m pretty sure I interpreted your words perfectly and now you’re trying to backtrack

Re: Ismael Bennacer
What is this. I wasn't even talking to you in my first post
maybe have a deep breath and calm down before asking other to learn how to read or to try harder when posting.
It is not your nationality that makes me say you are biased fennec, it is these intense responses to a perfectly reasonable post.
No fennec, I'm not backtracking on anything, you are simply taking offense from posts about a random player where there is none.
I didn't "imply" that he was a good project for Milan, I wrote it
AC Milan signed a 21 year old player, what else am I supposed to write? since when is it negative to say that a big club signing a young player is a good project? You would think from your responses that I was calling him shit.
I am 100% sure that I watched Bennacer more at Empoli and at Milan than you have. I like the player, I would take him at Juve to try him over Matuidi or Rabiot. Added to that, I definitely do not think he has a place in Madrid. Madrid has already too many good midfielders, with loaned players that would start in most midfields. So no, I don't think it is very dramatic that Madrid miss out on signing Bennacer in 2020.
Now continue to be outraged that I don't think Bennacer moving to City or Madrid is the move of the century.

Re: Ismael Bennacer
You’re intentionally misinterpreting my posts over and over again. I’m not emotional at all I’m just calling you out on your bullshit. I’ve given legitimate reasons for my answers.
You’re saying we have too many midfielders, I mean you couldn’t look more clueless. If it wasn’t for Valverde that center midfield position would be a disaster. We actually need a backup for him and Bennacer does fit that profile.
Again, I’m not taking offense.. I’m just correcting your lack of footballing knowledge
