Paul Pogba is demanding €15m-a-year from Real Madrid, which is posing problems in negotiations. (Source: L'Équipe)

Re: The Pogba War | Chapter II
I imagine we'll settle at like 150m
I hope Madrid are dumb enough to bite
but then you'll have his wage demands and Raiola etc
I really think those will be a stumbling block, and a reason there's no way he returns to Juve

Thinking Pogba wouldn't be a success at Madrid.
I give it 3 months max before he's widely considered the best CM in the league by the time he joins.

He should seriously think about becoming a stand-up comedian. He may be an overrated piece of crap football-wise, but I have no doubt in mind that he would be decent behind the mic. He certainly has enough material to make a living out of it.

Based on the current standard that isn't particularly a high bar tbh.

Frenkie is exactly the reason why there's absolutely no chance for Pogba to be considered as the best CM in the league.

BIG swerve as Barca acquire Pogba's best friend, could we see a battle between them and Real for Pogba?

If Zidane is confident in pogba then sure maybe he will turn it around, if he cost 150m then isco, modric and ceballos out wouldn't sell kroos yet he can bounce back, big investments after a not so great season.

Re: The Pogba War | Chapter II
At CM position he's not even in Top 3 at Madrid.
CAM is different story though, the closer he gets to the box, the more lethal he is. He can get past his markers with his outstanding technique, has excellent final pass, shooting, and knows how to use his body in the box.
I don't see what qualities recommend him to be among the best CMs. He's not particularly good at build-up play, he's limited when there's little space, not quick enough both in his movements and thinking when marked tightly in the midfield, in static plays. And defensively, he doesn't excel either.
Frenkie De Jong is a different beast there. Makes me throw-up that he chose Barca though. Fantastic player that could've been polished into a great character by Simeone or Zidane. I'm eager to see how Razvan Marin, the Romanian, will replace him at Ajax.

Re: The Pogba War | Chapter II
Thanks for heads up never really rated pogba as a CM, but he does indeed have talent and athleticism, I wouldn't mind a proper cm and dm, instead of spending big on pogba but even if he comes, another mid kante type will be brought in hopefully and rm just keeps kroos.
the plan next season seems to be 442, still prefer the 433 it's not broken just change the players, but diamond could give him that role if hazard doesn't take it.

Frenkie is the king of meaningless passes so he will be a great fit for Barca. They should get Pjanic, too, so they can draw another circle in the center of the pitch.

Is there any War regarding Pogba? Seems like MU would be happy to dispatch him for a decent sum but not getting any suitors/suckers.

Well, if rumors are to be believed, then there's one foolish sucker here and its name is Madrid. Apparently, they are interested but the stumbling block is United's 170m asking price tag and Pogba's wages.
But yes, you're right, there's no war over him. Only Zidane is interested.

PSG or Madrid. Those are the two. Juve can't pay him.

Re: The Pogba War | Chapter II
Bruno best in the PL was nonsense, he's the best in the world.
I did think we should have sold Pogba ya, ship has sailed. Don't blame him for wanting out. Was shown to be a fraud in the PL, given every chance and accomodation, averaged 1 good performance every 3 months. Forgot about PSG tbh, I can def see him going there for a big payday and dominating part timers.

Re: The Pogba War | Chapter II
Pogba dominates the midfield just fine with France NT when he doesn't have Fred and McTominay as his midfield partners.
He gets into trouble when you ask him to cover too much ground. He thinks he's superman. He's not. Don't make him a DM either like Mou or a god knows what like Ole.
Watch what he did for Juve and for France ffs. The blueprint is there and proven. Yet Man U keep trying to make him into what he's not. Granted, it's his fault for going there.
Heck, Di Maria and Falcao couldn't play with this Man U. Ronaldo is having a hard time by his standards too. It's not just Pogba.
