Lets see what the official sponsor of GL, whoscored, has to say:

No further questions, your honor.

Who gives a flying fuck about ratings? We're talking about who is a better player, not who had the best season and the team that they play is a big influence of performance.
Before Guardilola, Sterling was nothing but a numpty who knew how to dribble.
Before Conte, Bonucci was the wrong choice out of the two Bari twins. Guess who was the other one

Re: The Pogba War | Chapter II
SELL PLEASE. As I have said before he is a quality player but not the kind of player your team needs when it’s in serious rebuild. We can’t afford to get back to some respectable level again if we have also got to contend on a weekly basis with Pogba’s and Riola’s shenanigans. We just can’t. His attitude stinks sadly. And naturally he commands a serious influence in the dressing room. So, the whole team will suffer. Even if they are lesser players, we want hardworking players now, under Ole, especially if his core philosophy for us going forward is to run more than everyone else.
So, yea sell off. And speaking of bad attitude and no running, while we are at it, sell Martial too. 200 mil from those 2 lazy bums will allow us to get 3-4 decent players who are willing to put a shift in for the shirt.

Re: The Pogba War | Chapter II
Players appear to "work hard" because they're less talented and they need to exert more effort + since they are likely not the top players on the ball, managers give them a lot of responsibility off the ball. The top players, including Messi and CR, are accused of being "lazy" every season. But that's not it. The manager actually wants them to conserve energy for when they have the ball as opposed to not since that's when they have the most impact.
In any case... you get the most talented players you can and then you manage them. You don't get a bunch of less talented players, because they're "hard working", and pretend that it's going to help you back to the elite. It won't. Talent is king.

Re: The Pogba War | Chapter II
Except Pogba is nowhere near as talented as Ronaldo or Messi. And your theory about hard work doesn't hold water because Suarez is more talented and proficient than Benzema and has 10 times his work rate.
Also Messi and Ronaldo, given their positions and role, aren't required to defend whereas someone like Pogba is.
He's not talented enough to warrant the laziness he's displaying. And it's no secret that all the United fans on GL with no exception are praying for him to get sold.

Uruguayans strikers are like that. Cavani is similar. Name another? I can name a large number of "lazy" players today and many many more in the past.

Nonsense, he was extremely good under Rodgers. He just lost his confidence which Guardiola has been able to recover.
Sterling isn't some bum which Guardiola has turned into a star, that's massively underselling Sterling himself.

Re: The Pogba War | Chapter II
Personally find RG should make a rule where anyone who disregards whoscored ratings should be hit with a pie in the face tbh.
Also, Zapata out rating Pogba, my goodness, no wonder Milan can't get into CL.
As for CMs being lethargic, I mean, it's not a good thing at all but whatever. DoC needs to get it in his head that Zizou wants Paul and what Zidane wants, the club is gonna attempt to pursue.

I think we all realize this. It’s just frustrating to imagine him playing for us, considering all the times I’ve watched him play for Man United and thought to myself that I’m thankful he doesn’t play for us. I watched an interview with Zidane where, like with Benzema, he mentioned that he knows Pogba personally. I just hope their personal relationship doesn’t cloud his judgement, and he has some kind of elaborate plan to actually make him a useful part of the team - because with the resources and expectations surrounding his potential signing, we can’t afford for him to perform like he’s been doing over the past 2-3 years. A handful of games in the world cup and a handful of league matches per season, simply doesn’t cut it at Real Madrid. Especially, when you consider how poor his poor performances are.

Paul Pogba has his heart set on a move to Real Madrid this summer. A deal now hinges on whether Manchester United lower their £160m valuation of him. (Source: Telegraph)

- Transfer would likely cost €140m, but could include Toni Kroos and/or Gareth Bale
- Pogba's wage demands are currently a stumbling block
- Mino Raiola also frustrating Real Madrid representatives

Re: The Pogba War | Chapter II
Kroos or Bale knock off 30M max lol
Bale wouldn't even start ahead of Mata or Lingard tbh
so long as we recoup 100M on Pogba, I'm happy.

Re: The Pogba War | Chapter II
Of course wage and Mino are stumbling block A and stumbling block B. Paul would want either equal or more money than he was making at Utd and Mino would want to make another killing at a club's expense. Meanwhile, Madrid actually has a wage structure that most sanely run clubs have and would probably give Mino way more opposition than Woodward did.
All in all, can't wait for Sport to criticise this one lol.

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba wants to leave Old Trafford this summer and is determined to push for a move even if the club refuses to sell him, sources have told ESPN FC.

You're going to need a lot more than 150 to rebuild that midfield. Especially if you are loaning out Fred. Herrera is gone, Mata too right? Matic is passed it. Pereira is not good enough imo.
You basically need to replace 4-5 players if you sold Pogba

Mcomtinay is aight. We need 2 starters and a couple for depth, we'll keep Fred for depth too I imagine.

Bullshit, he has always been a bum for England and his two best seasons at Liverpool were not even close to these past two seasons. He was a talented player who looked like he was going to be another disappointment, Guardiola did make him a superstar.

Paul Pogba wants to leave Man United in the summer, Juventus & Real Madrid are interested in signing him - Man United have already rejected Real Madrid's first offer of €125m to sign him. (El Chiringuito)
Man United would be mugging off Real if they get anything more than €100M
