Besides, Leno is basially the German Bürki, who is the Swiss Mignolet.

League is over for us, hopefully we play kids for the last two instead of these so called first team players.

You're winning EL so it doesn't matter anyway.

Not sure anymore, I thought we would comfortably finish in the top3 after beating Man Utd and Chelsea and “only” having Wolves and Leicester as our hardest games left.

I can't see us beating Chelsea or Frankfurt in the final if we go past Valencia.

I can see us beating Chelsea but not Frankfurt who are basically a better Wolves/Leicester.
That is if we can manage beating Marcelino's top defensive team.

I don't see Sarri winning an actual trophy. Emery on the other hand is The EL Specialist.

Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion Part III
Meh, we expected it. The Watford and Napoli wins gave me some hope that we'd turn it around away from home but nope, back down to reality.
The Palace game fucked us. Had we won that as we should have done, we'd be in a good position still. Even now, a United win later keeps us in it, albeit still dependent on other results going our way.
These performances, though, have been as bad as last season's away performances, only this time we don't have the "Wenger's last season" excuse to roll out. Nine goals conceded to Palace, Wolves and Leicester in the space of a week, and we barely competed in those last two.
This squad is rotten. I would genuinely trade most of it away for some of Wolves' or Leicester's players.

Surely it's Emery out?
Can't remember Wenger ever losing 3-0 back to back to Wolves and Leicester. He had the courtesy to lose like that to big teams only

Nah, he's fortunate he's competing with horrific Chelsea and United teams too IMO
otherwise he would be getting sacked at the end of the season
no faith in them winning the EL now either

Sheffield United.
They have the 16th highest wage bill in the Championship and were in League One not too long ago. Have an all British/Irish squad, too, due to not being able to scout that far.
They were more convincing this year than Huddersfield were when they came up, at least.

Completely forgot arsenal lost to Palace too. Is that 3 on the bounce then, conceding 3 in each game?
Tottenham had a bad run earlier this season but it wasn't THAT bad, wow

Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion Part III
Emery will get a second year. As much as I struggle to like the guy, it'd be ridiculous to sack him when he's only gotten £50m in investment.
Then again, he was hired to improve what we have, and I can't think of many who have gotten better. Plenty who have gotten worse, though.

Emery needs to be given another season at least. And proper backing.
