Our perforemances (and results) have improved since Özil has been re-introduced though, and Emery has clearly seen that.

Playing with Ozil is playing with 10 men.

Poverty opinion ffs, we've improved so much since Özil came back and Emery clealry has admitted defeat and is playing him now.
But then Aubameyang is a liability too, I guess you have high standaerds...

Important win for us, everyone did their jobs well, especially impressed by Niles who did well defensively. Regarding Ozil, dont want to drag him down too much since we won but it’s a game to forget for him.

I don't know how we can replace Ramsey. Another big game, another outstanding performance

We won today by workrate, Laca, Ramsey, Kola and their non stop running, this is Emery speciality. Kola puke on the pitch ffs

After today’s win over Manchester United, Arsenal are now just three points away from equaling last season’s total, with still eight games remaining this season. #afc pic.twitter.com/P2pDuSmD8a

Re: Arsenal Vs Manchester United
Emery has impressed me in recent games bar that game against Rennes, which maybe wasn't entirely his fault and I hope he can remedy on Thursday.
No defensive football, no personal issues with one of our best players. Long may it continue.

Re: Arsenal Vs Manchester United
We rode our luck a lot today. Lukaku had three big chances and we had Leno and the bar to thank for not conceding at least once. This is why I can't be too happy with our defending. We can't be giving up three great chances to the opposition striker.
But maybe this is just a quality thing, because I can't fault the effort. In big games, especially at home, we've been more aggressive in our pressing and tackling and have worked a lot harder covering space. This is the least that should be expected of a top team, but it's a good foundation. Liverpool home, Spurs home and away, Chelsea home, now United at home - take what we've done in those games and add more quality and we'll be good.
Maitland-Niles had an excellent second half defensively. He needs to take care of the ball better, but he was up against Rashford and Martial at various points and stood up to the test. I also thought Suarez had a bright cameo.
I wanted four points from the last two games and got them. We've got next week off because of the FA Cup, so we should go all out against Rennes to turn that tie around.

Club officials say Koscielny played with a three-inch gash in his leg for the final part of the game, which got clamped together on the pitch when he was down for treatment.

He's been a warrior since returning from injury. Has put his body on the line nearly every game.

Re: Arsenal Vs Manchester United
Our next PL match is in April...in 3 weeks.
Need to go all out against Rennes. Full 100% energy level. No reason why we can't win 4-0 nevermind 2-0.
Then after that we can get good enough rest for the final run in.

Re: Arsenal Vs Manchester United
Looking at fixtures i think we need 5 wins and 2 draws for top 4
W6 D1 For third place
we can afford 2 draws +one defeat or 3 draws with 5 wins not any more dropped points than that
obviously EL will have effects as well

Re: Arsenal Vs Manchester United
So Chelsea and Tottenham have the same difficulty in their schedule, Arsenal has the easiest and United has the worst one. Right? Emery must finish in top 4 right now. He has absolutely no excuse if he won't.

Re: Arsenal Vs Manchester United
That win was huge. This team has really proven me wrong because I was worried about the Spurs and Utd games but the boys showed up (let's disregard that Rennes debacle for a moment). Ramsey in particular played with his heart on his sleeve in the past 2 league games and the guy's a legend in my eyes. I'm gutted that he's leaving.
From now until the end of the season, we can't expect all wins because it's the EPL, but top 4 is in our hands. We have a better chance of finishing 3rd than 5th based on the objective quality of our opponents, so it's nice to see us come through our standard mid-season collapse in good shape.
If we can play with the intensity we've had in the past 2 league games against Rennes on Thursday, we'll be into the next round
