I'm going to try to put this in the nicest way possible: in terms of referee crowding, there's no club under the sun that comes even close to Barça. Even when they know they have committed a stonewall foul, they still act surprised! Jeez, have a little respect for yourselves.

Except Coutinho was a fraud in the PL and any non Liverpool fan will tell you that.
I've been calling him overrated for 3 years None of this is surprising to any neutral who watched him and not his highlights or stats.

Clasico's haven't been good since pre Mourinho and Pep.
There's been so many games in CL and Cup as well the usual exposure to these players outside of the games means it isn't special anymore.
Over exposure will do that.

It was fun when Barca had the better team and won every single time.

Last time i checked they still win the large majority of the time lol.
Also i said PRE Pep and Mourinho, pretty sure you won the majority of those.

So was Bale tbh, one season wonder. Spurs did well to milk Uncle Flo with that one.Great Leader Sprucenuce wrote:danyjr wrote:Bale and Coutinho, overpriced overrated EPL frauds

Re: La Liga 2018/19 Discussion
Arthur and Busquets were good in this game imo, I see why futbol is a fan of his now. The match was actually void of genuine quality so yeah, not the best Clasico.
Ironically, Messi came on and pretty much killed Barca's game nicely and I thank him for that. Uff.

Pre-Pep/Mou, I believe we won two in a row, but before that it went back and forth for many years. Barcelona have been winning them recently, but the performances have been far more even than they were in the past. Personally, I think the absence of Ronaldo takes away some of the oomph the competition had in previous years. I don't know how Messi's been performing lately, but he barely put any effort into it after he came on. I'm guessing he was being careful due to his injury, but it was a modest performance by him, either way.

If they still care about CdR, it should be a formality to progress once Dembele and Messi are back in full force for the 2nd leg.

In general i agree but i do think it's harsh to judge Bale because we'll never really know what he would have been had he stayed at Spurs.

Re: La Liga 2018/19 Discussion
This was a real low intensity clasico. No CR, no Messi, No Neymar, not many stars of old. Kids (Vinicius, Malcom) and scrubs (Lucas) taking the limelight. Madrid was non existent for 60-70 minutes.
Marcelo's performances have grown into his appearance, he plays like the old washed up dad he looks like. Coutinho really looking average and Bale being hilarious.
RIP Isco

Navas has never lost at the Camp Nou as a RM player
Reguillon will keep Dembele in his pocket, not worried. Barca's time to pounce was today when Marcelo played and when we had 3 tough games in the space of a week. I saw nothing, we sat back, conceded possession and outside 1 or 2 good chances, I saw nothing

@Rincon, Marcelo will probably join his brother from another mother at Juve in the summer say goodbye to your league. Marcelo will take a stroll on the pitch while teams make no secret they'll target him.

Please no. Marcelo looks like he is ready to pull out a folding chair and just relax on the pitch while the game passes him by. Currently Alex Sandro>>>>

You think it's harsh to judge him because he hypothetically could've been, or should've been something he's presently not?
He stayed fit during his first season for us, and he's made a substantial amount of positive contributions to the team since then. His recurring muscle issues just make him incredibly unreliable. Somehow, I don't think that would've changed if he had been playing for Tottenham, still. You just never know how long he'll manage to stay off the treatment table.

Different environment, at Spurs he was allowed to roam where he wanted and we only saw that Bale for one season.
We don't know what he would have been because it ended after one season.
