why would that dampen my mood? it just goes to show that Mourinho was a POS. Lad had us going to jobbers (the likes of who we have been smashing under Ole) and PTB and not letting players have any freedom. Look at us vs Newcastle tonight vs them earlier in the season. We're bouncing back now.
There's no way we're actually worse than Chelsea or Arsenal quality wise.

It's funny how some evaluate team quality.
Because Chelsea are mostly very talented team, they just don't have much scoring.
That doesn't mean they aren't talented, there's more to evaluating team strength than just scoring and flashy forwards.

Arrizbalaga = meh
Azpi = Midcarder
Rudiger = Midcarder
Luiz = gash
Alonso = gash gash gash
Kante = elite
Jorginho = midcarder ( stay mad Mehrie A fans)
Barkley = midcarder
Willian = midcarder
Morata = awful
Hazard = very talented
player for player, weaker than us, about on par with Arsenal, well, probably worse as I rate Arsenal's backline as utter shit

That midfield is comparable to anything in the league not called City lol.
Defence is pretty strong too as the record indicates, the weaknesses are that Hazard is the only top quality forward.
By this logic everything in the league except City and Liverpool sucks, if you feel that way then fair enough but let's not act like overall Spurs, Man Yoo and Arsenal don't have just as many if not more flaws.

Hazard being the only top forward is crippling. Relying on Willian, Pedro, Giroud and Morata for consistent goals is poor for a team that wants to compete.

Yeah it's "only" one weakness but it's a really bad one. Hazard has actually been really amazing this season and even that is only just keeping them in the top 4.

Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion Part III
Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea all have flaws but Chelsea's are the only ones that can't be fixed this season. That's why Man Utd or Arsenal are my favourites to get that 4th spot.
Man Utd had a coaching problem, they got rid of it and assigned someone else and it's working so far. Arsenal had a crippling injury list and they are starting to come back.
Chelseas problems can only be fixed in the transfer window and I don't see them signing someone good in January so they'll fall short this season imo.

You don't seriously think Arsenal has problems which don't need to be fixed by the transfer window do you? Or Man Yoo lol.
They are no different, they just have different problems. Because a team doesn't lack firepower upfront doesn't mean they arent just as weak if not more.
I know it's the only thing GL decides on strength of a team though so you're forgiven.

Having a stronger attack is more important in a league campaign than having a stronger defence. That's a fact. You can't win a game without being able to score lol, pass the ball around all you want.
Arsenal are able to outscore the opposition, no matter the situation. Man Utd look like doing that as well recently but we have to wait until they play stronger opposition. Chelsea on the other hand are fucked if they concede a goal first, and sometimes like last night even keeping a clean sheet doesn't mean you win the game.

Yet they are above both teams and have been all season long lol.
Also like how you completely ignore the midfield aspect, which isn't surprising considering Arsenal's is complete trash.

Because Hazard has been carrying them lol, and he can’t do it all season. As I predicted before the season started.

A bit worried about Aguero, Jesus, KDB, Sterling and Mahrez all starting along with the two Silvas.
Think City takes this tonight, we were toothless against them at Anfield with Guardiola changing it up.

I believe Chelsea will finish above Arsenal and United. They're more consistent and balanced than Arsenal and United's resurgence is more to do with crap opposition than anything.
How the Blues will cope with Hazard leaving in the summer is another matter, though. They need a star forward to replace him with, but there aren't many around plus they'll be competing for such a player with United and possibly Real, too. Maybe they'll get Bale as part of the Hazard deal, which wouldn't be too bad an outcome for Chelsea in the circumstances.

Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion Part III
Hearing Robertson is missing the game tonight because his wife is giving birth (to their second child I believe)
I'm sorry....I am a very family-orientated person, but to miss a game of this significance that could basically cement Robertson in history books (if Liverpool win title) is mind-blowing.
It's not a home game vs. Fulham...it's away at City where winning would give us one hand on the trophy. In a position we are very weak with Back ups.
I'm dreading team news now....my enthusiasm massively went down if true.
I'm pretty sure baby Robbo would want to see his daddy helping end a 30 year draught when he/she grows up....
I mean, this is just typical Liverpool.
We are looking fucking great and amazing, and out of all the days and seconds of the year, the wife of one of our most important players has to give birth RIGHT on the NIGHT of the biggest game of the season.
We don't deserve to win titles like this. Congrats City !

Not to worry, with all the hype generated for the game and these two teams being lauded as attacking machines and whatever, this will end a dour 0-0.
