Modric - Balon d’Or

I think going into this season, Modric was a shoe in to win this award, based on his CL and WC performances. However his form this season together win his team being outright 3rd rate, I think his chances have now been lost. What do you guys think?

Yeah that’s how I’m thinkin. I would have thought he had it in the bag but he has been miserable. I’d say Ronaldo takes it again.

I don't remember whose left in the running, but at this point it could go to a French NT player rather than Ronaldo or Modric!

I think Mbappe wins it.

8 goals and 2 assists in 11 NT games in CY 2018
12 goals and 4 assists in 8 starts (+ 2 sub appearances) so far to start this year.

So far, he as 29 goals and 11 assists all in for the CY with 6 weeks left and he has the hype needed.

CR won't win it because of Portugal's WC flop imo. FIFA wants the WC to be emphasized obviously.

International tournaments should always be taken with a grain of salt. Lots of frauds look good there. Expecting a 33-year-old player to peak on the back of a World Cup isn't smart. He's becoming part of the problem at Madrid, not the solution. So sayeth Father Time.
