Thing is... we could have easily gone for more goals and likely gotten more. The holes were there. But the team decided not to allow gaps by going for those moves. It was all about controlling space and the ball... not scoring.

We're very different from Spain or Germany that way. We really adapt our style of play to the situation. Can it bite us in the arse at some point? Of course. But I also understand it. As good as they've been, Hernandez and Pavard are really young and new at fullback. Once they get older and seasoned, you can expose them more. Not right now though... unless we need to. We briefly opened up against Peru and got the lead... we also opened up to get to 4 goals against Argentina.

I don't like DD. But he is a pragmatist. He's all about covering up France weaknesses first and then exploiting opponent issues. Not at all of the mindset "the best attack is the best defense"... complete opposite.

Brazil is going to toy with this France side.

I have to disagree Doc. Anyone of Belgium, Brasil or France can reach final. I expect both remaining games on this side to be good close games. However on the other side, I expect Modric and boys will be opposition in final and I don’t expect any of the three games on that side will be entertaining at all. As for the final, expect Modric & co to be runners up!

How could I not hope for Hala & guest or the English lads to see the final and at the same time, hope to see Sports annoyed at seeing France lose to another PTB team in a final?! But yes, any of those can reach the final.

Croatia and England don't park the bus... Unless Sweden somehow makes the final, which I doubt they will.

Yeah we can't defend on the back foot at all lol, our way of defending is a lot of sprinting and recovering. Our weakness defensively is fast attacks in transition and so far we haven't had to deal with it.

Because if Russia beats Croatia I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if Sweden beat England if it's the later game
