PPl has been saying Coutinho is the real performer for Brazil so far this WC, this game though definitely its Neymar and WIllian.

Firmino plays 5 minutes and scores, Jesus plays the whole WC and doesn't score. But Tite made Jesus as a player,it's his boy so he will continue to start

Brazil are unstoppable going forward, it's great to watch them play

Neymar was brilliant but of course everyone will hate on him playacting.

So happy Chelsea Willian finally showed up in the second half. But Casemiro will be a HUGE miss in the quarters.

Willian did nothing before the first goal lol, he was incredibly passive before that moment.

A bit boring game or maybe I was just tired watching it... Mexico got into the final third fairly well but had no idea how to create an actual chance. Brasil's attack was too much dribbling. Firmino really should start, he's much better at making the attack click than Jesus.

Kinda funny that both assists to Brasil's goals seemed to be failed shots.

I'm really happy William stepped up in the second half, but he was terrible before that.

Brazil definitely arent unstoppable, they got weaknesses, Mexico seem to have rushed all their chances this game, otherwise they might have actually threatened more... anyway, Belgium next who arent great defensively, gonna be huge game

Firmino scored a tap in because Neymar got through, it's not like he did some amazing build up to set Neymar up.

Of course there's much more likely to be more space in the final minutes than there is for Jesus for much of the game.

It's not about the goal. It's not even about Firmino, really. It's just that Gabriel Jesus has been meh the entire tournament.

He is overrated as *bleep*. It is only because people are insanely hyped on keepers being good with their feet, which he obviously is worldclass at. However, he is a very very basic keeper in everything else, he has an insane team around him, I know you cant just take away how good he is with his feet, but if you could he isnt anywhere near top 15 in the world really. I understand he is perfect GK for city and they didnt bring him for saves but for distribution but in brazil he doesnt have a place. Alisson shits all over him

Firmino had great movement for that goal. He was also the one that set up the first goal in Brazil vs Costa Rica despite only playing for 10 mins after Jesus did nothing for 80 minutes
Not to mention in the game vs Swiss Firmino had more shots and more shots on goal in 10 mins than Jesus in 80 mins. He delivered every time he got a chance in this WC

Yeah, incredibly disappointed by him. Firmino deserves an opportunity better than a ten minute cameo.

Imo Mexico lost the game when they put Layun and sent Marquez off. Not saying a 39 year old did anything great for Mexico but they were more stable with him playing in front of the defense.Once Layun came in Mexico tried to go forward on the right where he was wasteful and probably the worst player on the pitch.
They should have brought a decent midfielder to sub 39 year old Marquez.
Mexico were also very wasteful and selfish in attack where only Lozano tried to do smth for the team.
Lozano is very talented and could have a bright future.
