Re: World Cup (2018) - Group F (Germany, South Korea, Mexico, Sweden)
Not sure why some are calling this a tough group. I think Germany will walk it. The second spot could be tightly contested between Mexico and Sweden. I tip Mexico, just so they can repeat their history of going out in the first knockout round.
Re: World Cup (2018) - Group F (Germany, South Korea, Mexico, Sweden)
Will be rooting for Sweden, Germany will obviously sit comfortably at the top, however......

Re: World Cup (2018) - Group F (Germany, South Korea, Mexico, Sweden)
Mesut Özil is the only player to start all of Germany's 25 games at big competitions since 2010. Tomorrow, he might be dropped. https://t.co/acuc3MQzDb

Don't blame Löw at all, neither Özil or Gündogan shouldn't even be with the squad after their little stunt.

Re: World Cup (2018) - Group F (Germany, South Korea, Mexico, Sweden)
tbh if i were in charge no jamacans would get near the england team. but if you can just take players from any country you like why dont england just pick spanish and brazilian players and win the world cup ffs.urbaNRoots wrote:Unique wrote:ozil and gundog are saying my president when talking to Erdogan. yes they sound like proud germans to me as well.urbaNRoots wrote:

Re: World Cup (2018) - Group F (Germany, South Korea, Mexico, Sweden)
just being born in a country to immigrant parants should not qualify you to play for that country imo. also its clear to see ozil and gundog class themselves as turks anyway.rincon wrote:How should they work?

If your kid then continues to grow up in Pakistan, Studies in Pakistan and graduates in Pakistan, Naturalizes in Pakistan and notices how his/her career would be better if they chose Pakistan rather than England and hence choose their work in Pakistan, Then that kid is Pakistani.
That's the case with Ozil and Gundogan and the other English lads.

Re: World Cup (2018) - Group F (Germany, South Korea, Mexico, Sweden)
What is this nonsense even? Both were born and raised in Germany. In fact even Özils father was raised in Germany.
That being said it's a nonsensical discussion anyway. Nationality is certainly not something you can't change.
