2018 / 2019 season prediction

I want goals. I want to be convinced that we will be fine without a striker. I think the Super Copa will tell us alot on where we are and how urgently we need certain players. They are like the best team you could play to measure how ready you are. We do well there and I can definitely get excited

Against United I am mainly looking at the formation, the B players and the attackers. Those have been massive question marks for me over the last season. Last season we started preseason not being able to score and we started the season in the same vain. Hopefully this time it's a reverse

better team football will lead to us scoring goals. So seeing how well we transition the ball back and forth is really what i wanna see, how well we generate space on either side of the field, and overload zones to create advantage; winning the ball quickly to keep pressure on other teams. We had difficulties all pre season to score. We relied on our midfielders for goals. 2/3 goals against Utd were by midfielders. I remember watching Bale and Benz struggle to even outmuscle average defenders and we were counting the days of Ronaldo's return. I want to see Bale impose himself alot morr this time and I need Benz to score

If we are unable to generate chances for our strikers to score by playing quality football, then what's the point of signing a CF as you all want?

A CF doesn't magically score goals by himself does he? Leveraging space, moving the ball quick and things we should work to develop next season.

If anyone happens to get the info of where the team is staying at and training post it here. I'm hopefully trying to get a few photos and hopefully an autograph when they make their way to DC for the Juve game.

In what alternate world do we not create chances for our strikers?

There was a stat I saw last year that said that we were the ones who created most chances in LaLiga last season. And our strikers where the ones who'd missed the most chances.

Chance creation is the least of our worries. Scoring them is where the hindrance lie. We were putting 3/4 goals past nearly every team in CL last season ffs and that's because Ronaldo became a reliable scorer for us there

Chance creation has NEVER been our problem... it used to be that the 80% of the chances went to one player (no joke). Then, nobody could hit the side of a barn (first half of last season).

NOW, there are no excuses. Chances will be there for everyone.

In any case, Hala you worry too much. preseason wont define our seasom. lets not forget Carlo preseason where everyone was doing good but then came the season and we didnt win any major titles.

preseason at best is just to give us an idea on style and formation. I have no doubt we will start strong. unless if you have doubts on Lopeteguis ability to get the best out of our team? I would have more faith. Don't forget we got some players with a point to prove which we will see later on today.

The defenders, both Sanchez and Vallejo havenot looked good.

that's because Vallejo is shit and not exactly doing his job at covering his runs

no man...  Odriozola is like sieve back there.  nowhere to be found.  fullback is about 1v1 a lot of times. the entire back 4 looks awful... that's true. But it doesn't excuse him.
