he got a lot of media coverage...  even made front page of ESPN in the US lol.  And the fact that he's staying at Atleti made it alright.  If after this, he left... I would have felt it was stupid.

The whole point of the video was to show Atleti his appreciation.  Explained that he had a lot of pressure around him to leave and that he himself wanted to stay.  The boos bothered him and made him reconsider.
But in the end, he wants to see the project out as long as the ambition remains.

Again, kind of cool.

ok... so everyone is critiquing something they didn't even watch lol.  Typical.  Only people who watched it were Atleti, Barca and some France NT fans.  Atleti fans loved it, Barca fans will slam it and most France NT fans will find it pretty interesting tbh.  It kind of showed the gamut of emotions and factors that went into it over the season.

And again... he didn't leave.  When it didn't happen right after the season, you knew it looked bad for Barca.  Typically, players bolt as soon as they can if they're leaving a club.

He stayed loyal to his club and didn't go for greener pastures.

So apparently they recorded 2 versions of this "documentary". One for him staying and one for him going. I assume this one was with him staying.

Also, I can't believe I would ever have to write this but I think this actually topped Ronaldo's I am sad stuff and Jjuve's CL videos.

I could appreciate the whole Griezmann with an ode to Atleti narrative here if he hadn't been a huge attention whore with not so vague comments over two summer transfer windows, filming multiple endings for this nonsense. If you want to declare your love for a club maybe just come out and say it when asked about it instead of making it into a big LOOK AT ME circus show.

I haven't read Sport's comments in this thread, but I'm on his side. Everyone else just fails to see the bravery and patriotism Griez has shown through all of this. I bet the revenue made from additional press conferences and interviews all went to admirable causes, as well. Haters.

Good decision and a sign of ambition. He has no business going to Barcelona if he ever wants to win the CL. At Atleti he is the main man, at Barca he would be doing Marathons every game while Messi covers less ground than Ter Stegen
