Who will win World Cup 2018 ?

I hope i have done enough to cover most of the viable candidates in the poll. Mods can feel free to edit them if they want to.

So who in your opinion is winning it this time ?

Besides the obvious choices like Brazil, Germany and France, the way Spain played against Germany in that friendly makes me think they are a big candidate too. Even England have finally a team that can cause trouble, and you can never rule out Messi‘s Argentina.

I feel like this World Cup will be the most competitive in a long tlme.

I‘ll say it‘s between Brazil and Spain, and I think Spain would beat them if they face each other at some point.

Germany still got that X-factor from 2014 it seems.

I really think this has Brazil written all over it. They have an amazing squad on paper and they were brilliant in qualifiers so if they perform they should win.

Having said that I don't think there's been a world Cup in my lifetime where I've successfully predicted the winner lol so I'm expecting something to go wrong and France/Spain/Argentina to snatch it.

Seldom, I think only once has a South American team won in Europe. For sure Brasil is a favourite, but I lean more towards Germany, France or Spain. My heart says Spain, but the more likely is Germany!

France won't win. I'd be surprised if they even make it to the semis unless they face a shit team in the quarters.

Brazil might have their strongest set of players in a while, but can they play as a team against organised European nations, when tactics would be of a higher quality is a whole other question?

Actually France is within a good shout imo.

Argentina, its so obvious.

I'd say it's between Brazil or Spain. Hoping Argentina pull through though, that would make a nice Hollywood script.

France because we now have no weakness given Sidibe is healthy, Lucas Hernandez is doing well as a LB with Atleti and Pavard has come on in Bundi.  Our only weakness was fullback.  It's gone.  If Benjamin Mendy is deemed fit enough and gets called, it's actually a strength now.

Lloris is still very good
Varane-Umtiti is the best CB pairing in the WC.
Kante-Pogba-Matuidi are as physical as it gets in the middle of the park
Mbappe-Griezmann-Giroud gives 3 different types of players up front.  So you can't defend us one way.

Not to mention our depth is second to none (Lacazette, Dembele, Rabiot, Thauvin, Payet, etc.)

Having the most talented team doesn't mean we'll win it.  But we'll make the semis for sure. But as I said, we definitely have a very good chance of taking the trophy home.
